Hi Speedy - Regarding scrap, my late father made jewellery as a hobby and when I cleared-up his effects I put all the marked and unmarked scrap together in a bag, with the intention of taking it to HGM. In your experience, would you suggest I separate it into m and um and do they perform the assay while you wait or do they require time to work on it? Do they offer a better deal to convert the value into b/v coins or just the same as cash value?

I drove up to HGM a couple Sundays ago, just for a looksee and was surprised how small their place is, from the outside at least..

I wish we were holding a GE in UK on 29/10.....

Pandaem - Thanks for the headsup! I too may well end up taking a position in both companies, for slightly different reasons. I just have a slight bug up my ass at the moment that 'supply chain issues' are a frequent topic in many of my larger holdings in defence and aerospace. SVML seems to be a good fit just now.

Thanks for those important pointers, gents. You've prompted me to do a little more research. Bearing in mind my focus on supporting aerospace supply of high-grade titanium, particularly in defence applications, it seems that SVML is indeed a better fit! I'm also interested in the graphite resource, so will be looking to open a position here soon.

My portfolio has a bulge toward aviation and in each holding the availability of aircraft grade titanium is a drag factor on the SP. I'm interested in investing to a major contributor to that supply chain.. Anyone have suggestions better than SVM.L ?.

It just looks undervalued to me. I have no 'scientific' case, just an opinion based on experience.
