New US test bed12 Jan 2018 15:37
Rolls-Royce is to open a jet engine testbed in the US, two months after plans for a new facility in Derby were confirmed.
The manufacturing giant has signed a lease to take over the entire 440,000 sq ft former Texas Aero Engine Services LLC (TAESL) facility in Fort Worth. The testbed will be used to carry out endurance test runs for Rolls-Royce Trent engines, allowing the company to continue to support its growing fleet. Good news and shows confidence in future.
