I read that one differently. I thought they were just saying that is how you would take the car out of automatic and into manual control, not that they are using it to monitor the driver for attention. Much the same way as pressing the brakes takes a car out of cruise control.
As a percentage of my total portfolio I’m comfortable with it isb. I was using profits I’d made on another growth share anyway, so the level of risk is fine, and it’s funded from other profits. But felt like a sound investment, knowing what is coming. Seems like good timing. Been in SEE for a while, but I feel a lot of the risk is now gone and the price doesn’t yet reflect that.
Volume seems to have settled back down to normal levels today. Less than 2 million traded so far. I’ve finished my buying spree. Finished up with 3.6 million, which is a level I’m comfortable with. Hopefully it won’t retreat back to 3p which is what I wanted to buy in at. Ended up with an average price of 4p over all my holdings. But either way, I am convinced that any retreat will be minor (doubt it will drop below 3 again) and temporary now. I hope so anyway!
Some of those late buys were me. Added 2.1 million this afternoon. Will be adding more tomorrow. Just doing some rebalancing and profit taking.
Usually, that refers to the number of shares that are held in treasury and can be released for sale of a cash raise is needed. Every company has a number of shares for this purpose and when companies buy their own shares back (won’t happen here for many years), the shares they buy back get added to that number.
Ford’s naming convention is slightly confusing. The Co-Pilot 360 offered in the new Bronco is not the version with SEE in it. That package is called Active Driveassist and is not available in the Bronco. Copilot 360 uses torque sensors in the steering wheel and does not support hands free driving. Active driveassist does allow for hands free driving and uses SEE tech. So well have to “settle” for the Mach E and the F150 for now with Ford. More will follow for sure, but not the Bronco for now. I’m a little surprised but as it’s probably never coming to the EU they don’t have to worry about a 5 start NCAP rating.
Don’t confuse advertising with the actual target market. Ford us trying to sell a “lifestyle” and an “ideal”. But they are well aware that 99% of Broncos sold will be used to take the kids to school, drive on the motorway to work, and drive to the mall on the weekends. Most will never leave a paved surface. I would expect the driver assist packages to be in there at least as options.
The Jaguar I-Pace had multiple driver profiles 2 years ago morgui. I’m sure there are others.
Just saw this article on Qube’s experiences with the Guardian trial. This paragraph leapt out at me:-
“ Since the implementation, not one of the trial trucks fitted with Guardian has had a fatigue or distraction related incident or rollover. As a result, Guardian is now being rolled out across every truck in the entire Qube fleet.”

The next scheduled unveiling of a vehicle which is highly likely to contain SEE tech is the Cadillac Lyriq. The launch event, delayed due to COVID 19 is now scheduled for the 6th of August. The vehicle will almost certainly feature Supercruise as an optional extra (possibly standard on certain specs).
You have to replace the asterisks with the letters b i t c h as that’s his username. If you can’t be bothered it’s a video of an idiot filming himself watching the SpaceX launch on his Tesla model 3 touchscreen with his wife in the passenger seat while the car is on (so-called) “autopilot”.
Maybe it would also help with idiocy like this...

I assume this would still have SEE tech in it? Super Cruise for city streets.

Chris100 You don’t know much about the UAE if you believe those numbers. This is a country whose civilian international airport was attacked by a drone missile strike, killing three people (all expat civilians), and denied it ever happened. All airport personnel had their phones checked to make sure they had not texted or posted to social media about it. That is not a country where open reporting the norm.
They’ve closed all shopping malls and restaurants and closed all airports. Total lockdown. Think they’d do that if it wasn’t spreading? Also, their total population is only around the same as London anyway, so you will see lower numbers but similar percentages.
Chris100 and redindi, the disease is growing exponentially (the same rate as everywhere else) in the UAE, where the daytime temperatures are currently 30 degrees. I don’t think we can rely on a British Summer to help.
Not a big order but nice to see us get a mention by name.

Says the man who shouted me down for posting something factual. Put the mock indignation away. You attacked me for absolutely no reason and then post this childish garbage laced with sarcasm about people attacking you? It’d be funny if it wasn’t so pathetic.
Total Escalade sales in Canada and the US last year was about 36,500. Struggling to find sales for the rest to the world but will keep digging. They sell a lot in the Middle East too.
Ah right. Thanks Wilson and TLS. Just didn’t know the reference.
Apologies if this has been answered before, but does anyone know how Supercruise works if it can’t detect your eyes due to the wrong type of sunglasses? Does it refuse to let you engage it? That would be the only truly safe option is guess, and is how I suspect it works.
