Let me guess, company will go into a pre-pack administration and be bought back for a £1 by the current directors and they will inject £20m. They end up owning a company which was worth £400m for £20m and the shareholders end up with nothing. If this happens boycot the cafes and tell your friends to do the same. Do not buy the Sunday Times until Luke Johnson is sacked. You cannot keep letting the rich tread all over the small shareholders who have no power or voice

If you look at the investors page of the Patisserie Valerie website you can see that both Paul May and Chris Marsh both exercised share options and sold substantial shares earlier in the year making themselves a substantial profit. Clearly they also felt that the shares had peaked

AT the time there were rumours about Debenhams struggling and so I thought that PV should not be opening new sites there. Just seemed strange and so I lost confidence and sold my shares. Sometimes you just have to go with gut feel. The shares then increased in price but I reckon that after this statement I could buy back in at £2ish if brave enough to take a chance. All depends what they find?

I can understand losing £20m when you make hundreds of millions but not when it is such a small company. I would be really interested to know if any directors sold shares ahead of this announcement. Fortunately sold out a few months ago as was not happy with the number of Debenhams openings. Just feel sorry for the small shareholders who have lost out

If Spirts Direct do buy Debenhams and fill it with their cheap and nasty products, it will still be an improvement on where we are currently

I would like to know what the write off will be when Debenhams closes and also the profit hit from closing 18 sites. Most of the openings has been in the last 12 months and more are due soon. You have to question why directors are still investing cash in a dying company. Costa being owned by Coca Cola will also mean that the competition will intensify. Can now see why directors have been off loading shares. I am out

Although there has been a small correction, still reckon that this is over priced by about 11.5p a share

Time this company joins Maplin, Woolworths, Comet, etc and reminded other retailers that if you forget about your core customers, you do not have a sustainable business

I personally think that this share price looks low currently. There is a reasonable chance that DT will do a full takeover in the next 5 yrs. Unlikely to be until Brexit negotiations are sorted out but this must be their long term plan?

Does anyone know when the closing down sale starts? Personally I do not think that they will make it through Christmas

I think most people have worked out that you are better off buying a handset and going sim only even if you pay for it on a credit card and pay interest. By way of example you can buy an iPhone 7 for £549 which is £22 per month ignoring interest charges and get a decent Sim only for £9. The same deal at car phone would cost £40+ a month. Even with interest you can save a lot. All their electrical goods are 10% more expensive than online. The average person is trying to make their money go further and so are looking at imaginative ways of saving money. Can see further falls in the share price
