Hopefully some good news tomorrow will see the share price back at £3.50+. I think this share price has been dragged down by other news in the sector but hopefully sales and openings will all be positive

This could be the week when I get back in at �2.75

All the investment, restricting and cost cutting they have done and they lose £10m. Given the very good releases this year, I fear that this company has 2-3 years left maximum on the high street. Concessions and on-line is the only way they will survive.

With the desperate state of the retail market, cannot see this company being around in 12 months. It has a value to someone to break up or radically change (say �100m) but cannot continue in its current format

Until recently I was looking for a fall to �3 to buy back in. Now think that �2.75 is more realistic as we have a few more difficult years ahead of negative like before this stabilises. The shops look awful currently and the no music policy has to be reviewed

I think the shares have fallen as their Christmas advert is so rubbish. Just reminds everyone how much better John Lewis are at everything

I agree the share price is rigged, it should be 25p. This company has had its day. The only hope is that SPD buy it.

I am sure that the cash balance will be lower as they have spent a lot on refits. The profit will be lower as costs have increased. Their rating liability has increased considerably this year and the rent they pay on their head office will be up over �1m pa.

Can see us getting back to 32p by the end of the week

Lots of profit taking today as the price has got ahead of itself. I sold at 39p yesterday. The current price is based on the hope of a bid from sports direct which is unlikely to happen. I will buy back when it gets back to 32p which looks like a fair price

I have made money getting in and out of M&S and at sub-£3 worth a punt. Still need a 10% fall. It a truly awful shop at the current time but with all the freehold assets, must only be a matter of time before someone buys it, invests in it and turns it around? Will take years to get it right and will involve a cultural change but they still have shops located in the best locations in every major town and city.

I can see the share price gradually rising for next 12 months as more people start seeing FM opening near them. There is always a reasonable chance of a takeover/private equity buy. Go into a FM and see how busy they are, the customer they are attracting and the quality of food and you will see why there is a long way for this one to go.

JD and SPD appeal to different markets. It's like comparing Aldi with Waitrose. JD will do well as it appeals to younger people with money. SPD appeal to the less fashion conscious customer and is great value. The share price of SPD is being driven by Mike Ashley buying up the shares to take it private. There are fewer and fewer shares available and the price will creep up over the next few months before he has to do a full takeover. JD share price is being driven by the European expansion. Both are good investments

Have seen a few of these around and they are always busy. In Brighton marina they were the busiest out of all of the restaurants and there must be at least 15 popular brands there. I can see a slow steady increase coming as more people become aware of the brand. Reminds me of the early days of Patisserie Valerie where I doubled my money in 2 years from the floatation. Will only be good news from now until Christmas. New Nintendo selling well, at least 5 big releases between now and Christmas. New x box may be out for Christmas. Lots of retro games are driving sales of PS4. Mike Ashley may also be buying up shares. With 2 big shareholders, limited supply of shares for sale, good news and a possible takeover, only one way for these to go. Difficult to name a better punt at the current time

Is there any chance that Mike Ashley bought the stock, put the story out there and is now selling at a profit? Hoping that this is not the case as I own Game shares but also own Sports Direct so not that bothered if he is making a quick buck

Clever to create another artificial profit warning to reduce the share price so more can be bought back on the cheap. At what point will SPD have to start paying a fair price for the share buy backs? Before anyone says it, yes I knew the risks when I purchased the shares.

Anyone noticed that the share price sticks at £3. MA is effectively taking this private at £3 a share and not buying any over this price. Until people stop selling at £3, MA will get this company back on the cheap. I will only sell out at £4, time everyone else took the same view.

I think that their issue at the current time is that their product is not seen as goo value. Not sure if this is due to others getting cheaper or Dunelm more expensive but was in one of their shops recently with my wife and both thought that it is no longer good value and so went to Homebase. With Homebase changing their offer this will help Dunelm but I just think that there are others that do it better for less
