No-one is denying a placement (or loan) is required at some point this year to fill the gap. People simply have differing opinions about when it will be announced and at what cost.

Because the NICE approvals for both AIHL and stroke marker were not enough to ensure an immediate contract with the NHS . GDR have an awful lot of selling and self-promotion to do in a very short space of time.

Yes, prioritizing lab testing before POC. Except at HASU peterborough. If the other 107 stroke centres in UK follow Peterborough lead in addopting GDRs POC instead of snail mail lab testing then GDR might break evenn and the SP will be higher. But when will other stroke centres announce POC testing before lab testing? When? FOMO? Not whilst a placement is looming.

A commercial loan would also be an incredible vote of confidence as in a way it means that the lender, a financial institution would be investing in GDR and its future. The loan agreement will undoubtedly state when the loan will be repaid and the interest rates). That said I doubt a lender would lend a company without a fairly realistic sales forecast any money at all and GDR stated recently they are not in a position to forecast sales, unfortunately.

On the otherhand, interest rates on commercial loans are very high though.

For the reasons you describe, I would patiently wait for next placement (they won't wait for cash to run out before announcing a placement, so say announcement will come may or june) rather than risk betting on a full UK roll out being announced within the next 2-3 months. But each to their own.

BoD topping up now would suggest a placement will not be required imo. WIll they top up or won't they? I suspect they won't.

Yes, but currently the income is nowhere near enough to prevent a placing, unfortunately.

Who would takeover GDR at this stage ? It would be a shrew move by a company to take over GDR now at say 2.5-3p if the are capable of accelerating uptake of GDRs products across the NHS.
