News cannot be magicked from thin air.

Sure you can manage news flow by phasing resources under your control to deliver material to a plan.

But the notion that because it’s the agm soon therefore there will be some earth shattering news inbound is clutching somewhat.

Activ-2 is largely out of the companies control news is certainly overdue so would not be surprised if something falls next week.

But the AGM timing will be pure coincidence.

Such a shame the way this has worked out.

Science clearly worked but I get the feeling it’s too disruptive to the major pharma co drug pipelines.

Todays news is great but time lines here are not what they where. Bottom drawer investment worth holding onto but I don’t expect anything meaningful until 2023.

Sprout - What is your basis for a 50-60p valuation what are your calculations that back this up. What revenue do you expect the company need to generate to warrant this valuation?

If you want to filter go ahead but you are only creating yourself an echo chamber.

Work out how to answer the more difficult questions with facts and it might make you and everyone more enlightened.

Some more valid questions for everyone.

Do we know how much a machine costs to build and how much of the current cash is attributed to manufacturing scale up?

How many machines can we produce currently and at what rate?

Have we got demo systems at trusts already?

Roger65 - explain to me how GDR get to the market cap people have been touting on £6mil cash, given they burn cash at 2.9mil a year. Of which £2mil is R&D.

I urge you to open your eyes and start modelling what the future may look like.

We need a large NHS contract for machines and we need to deliver them on time to start generating revenue to fund the future.

However I think regardless of contracts we will see a fundraise soon it’s the opportune moment based on the positive news flow due. It’s in the share holders interest to get this done whilst the share price is on the up.

Let’s be clear this is not a de-ramp but I’m predicting a fund raise within 6months. This would be a positive move IMO and done to fulfil contracts in a timely manner.

Baserite - it’s not at all it’s my opinion on the situation I have been pro GDR for a long time but I’m cautious currently.

People gain experience through doing and those that do the doing often make mistakes in their careers.

There are very few CEO’s who will have managed a company through a crisis like covid most probably lost their jobs in the financial crisis.

Looking back at what SNG achieved they did remarkably well over the past few years and there was opportunities for people to make a lot of money on multiple occasions. If you failed to turn a profit that probably speaks more about your investing approach than SNG’s management.

Pre-covid the timescales here spanned years. During covid there was the opportunity to compress this and they gave it a good stab and achieved more than any other AIM listed biotech in that time period. We are now back to pre-covid timescales due to events both in and out of the companies control.

If they bring this drug to market it will still be a remarkable achievement and quick in relation to typical time lines.

110times - If SNG's flush is busted please answer me this one very simple question.

Why are the NIH still working in conjunction with SNG to design a trial protocol to test SNG surely it would simpler for them to just drop it like they have done all the other drugs.

Timescales have changed here but the science is still very strong.

Tommy - I have seen an email that confirms we are still paused.

So as far as I am aware the information coming from activ is it’s still paused. Would not assume otherwise until confirmed by activ and or Synairgen .

Trial is still on pause plans for phase 3 still in discussion. It’s just a routine update to all trials.

Don’t jump to conclusions.

The easiest choice for the NIH would have been to can both drugs and move on.

They chose to stop Sab but it’s curious they are going to a lot of effort to accommodate SNG.

For what’s it’s worth having sold out a chunk of my shares in the 30’s after the second polygon RNS I bought them all back and more during the crash to 16p I’ve subsequently sold them again today at 25p. A small victory in what has been a glum few weeks.

I will be a buyer on any weakness and remain positive for the future but having patiently held these for so long I’m going to trade a portion for a while.

You act like nothing is to come from sprinter data, you’ve written it off before SNG have even had a chance to thrash it out with regulators you may get the shock of your life.

The Activ move today is very interesting seems like Biden is culling the last links to Trump. Interested to see the initiatives launched by him and if SNG is the diamond in the rough that he will claim all for himself. They’ve changed the way they refer to SNG in the media it used to be anti viral it’s now an imuno modulator.

Andybe4 - And you are dumb if you think steroids impacted SNG.

All the data thus far suggests SNG performed comparatively as good in P3 as it did in P2b

It was the Placebo arm that performed markedly better.

The trial was too small rather than steroids causing a problem.

The scale of trial requires based on the SOC numbers would have been significantly bigger and would probably still be filling now.

So please tell me what SNG are supposed to have done differently when they hired the best in the world to execute the trials and still had a slow uptake.

Andybe4 - perhaps I suggest you don’t invest in another biotech stock and maybe seek professional help you seem very unhinged.

The SNG story is disappointing because a drug that would probably do a lot of good for people has failed to prove this in a large part due to the forces of large pharma co. If you look at the billions spent during the pandemic and the drugs we have to show for it, it really is depressing that the opportunity like SNG was wasted by the wider industry. We have a handful of mabs which are failing and only got to where they are because they are the golden goose of large pharma.

The tide SNG have had to swim against was colossal and they put up a good fight. I am proud to have supported them on their journey and continue to wish them good luck.

Might be a blessing in disguise that we didn’t start A2-P3 enrolment. Perhaps viral load measurement will be our saving grace.

Andybe4 - In light of the Activ 2 news perhaps you’d like to apologise for your outrageous accusations & comments about SNG and accept that the active platform has just run into the identical problem as the SNG trial.

This is the risk in biotech R&D sometimes events go against you despite well made plans.
