Tommy - Good post I’d point out your statement that no one knows which is the fact many are trying highlight.

I know certain posters like to play join the dots myself included.

But differing of opinion is not a subtle agenda. It is a straight up difference of opinion which happens across all walks of life.

My view is they would have had access to this capability previously probably on a contractual basis.

As they progress into a period where they have a larger volume of work perhaps it makes sense to bring it in house.

So it’s a positive from the perspective they seem to be able to justify the headcount therefore they must have things to write about.

If I was being critical the move does not imply a sense of urgency.

Tommy - Agreed the desire to retain the capability in house is a good thing.

Thought it was pretty obvious it was a re-hire who do you think was writing their previous technical publications.

Size82 - Correct in the deep dive it suggested steroids had no effect on the action of SNG.

Mortality rate in the placebo arm reduced due to combination of better treatment and less virulent strain.

Doc - We are fighting a loosing battle on the Mani front they clearly don’t understand a huge amount about the posts they tick up.

Keep your eyes peeled for some news out of Shanghai in the next month on IFN a2b use in children should complement the science here somewhat.

Manifesto - Let me try and explain why I take particular offence to your posting style and the damage I perceive it does to eroding the share price.

You are overtly positive and imply and infer timescales here that are unrealistic. You pass this off as just being positive about the share and are emotionally invested which is dangerous.

Now what does this do to the share price. In general I believe these forums have a very minor effect on share price movements. However over the years I’ve noticed one thing volatile shares with a high proportion of Pi’s seem to ebe and flow based on the mood of the forums. Numerous Pi’s loose their shirts due to impatience which is fuelled by hype and unrealistic expectations.

Prior to P2 results i spoke to 3 pi’s who had lost 50% of their holding as the price ticked down into the 40p region. They sold weeks before news because they got fed up of waiting since they had expected news to have arrived months before.

Likewise I’ve spoken to Pi’s who have invested based on the premise of news landing in a matter of months, investing money they’d rather not loose. Typically these Pi’s will sell out at small loss at the first sign of delays.

Now quite rightly you would argue everyone should be responsible for their own decisions and they shouldn’t be so naive. But the truth is a significant % of investors are naive and blinded by the promise of huge returns.

Now cast your mind to the way polygon built their stake. They did this at the expense of the PI and not II. Pi’s allowed them to take such a huge stake so cheaply so whilst it’s great to have them on board it was highly highly frustrating watching it happen in slow motion.

A weak Pi base in the share which has been created through unrealistic time scales fuelled by posters like yourself on this forum is part to blame.

We want a stable base of Pi’s here who can see the value of the share but also understand the journey required to realise the value. The Board where very clear about this at the AGM attempting to manage expectations.

I will continue to seek to manage expectations whilst engaging in discussions around the excellent science that underpins this investment.

You will notice I normally avoid posting during market hours as I do not want to influence peoples investing decisions. This is a decision of mine based on the experience of the past 2 years on this share.

Monty - Suspect the job advert is to replace someone who has left be that a permanent employee or contractor.

They would have had the services of a technical author for their previous work.

SeaBoy - I think we are probably in the same page with respect to the history here.

Looking at the decisions and moves the company has made today, that’s not the moves of a company actively inviting offers. I suspect whilst they may have received informal feelers they likely rebuffed those as they thought they could get across the line by themselves.

Which in the moment was a strong possibility. I remember a year ago posting on the very same topic. What would a major pharma give us that we didn’t already have.

- we had two trials lined up
- we had just completed the largest fund raise on aim
- we had production trials running

We are now full circle and perhaps at this point in time a major partner would be useful. But we are now in a position of weakness not strength.

I still think the company are attempting to see it through themselves.

And I think Polys presence is about deciding when the time is up and they need to throw in the towel.

One final question is which pharma would view SNG001 as disruptive and which would view it as complementary to their R&D pipeline.

I can think of several pharmacy who would actively not want SNG to succeed as it competes too strongly with their pipeline drugs. Whereas others would probably see it as a real asset for combination therapies.

Dunk - Company Director and occasional guest lecturer but not in the medical field.

Sax - Would be interesting to see if the delivery method traumakine favours aftercare of long covid sufferers where the virus may have taken hold in other major organs such as the heart. Vs SNG which is clearly a first line defence to try and prevent development of long covid.

Doc83 - Looking at the way sprinter was run and the data exclusions on the core data set I’d be surprised if we get full completion on the long covid data from all participants. Attrition is hard to avoid so it would be a long shot.

The energy and enthusiasm SSH has for the subject never fails to impress me, certainly a life’s work and no signs of him stopping.

I made a point of thanking him personally for his considerable contribution to the global cause.

I thought I had both caches saved but can’t seem to find the original one.

I guess the point I’m making is the trial was underpowered for the primary end points I’d imagine it is almost certainly underpowered for long covid.

IMO At best we are looking for a signal that there is something worth investigating around long covid and it warrants a trial specifically powered for that.

Holgate is certainly excited by what he has seen.

Can anyone remember if the long covid aspect was in the trial design from the start or an after thought?

My suspicion is that the smaller trial conducted around questioning was to gauge the accuracy of the long covid data and the scale being used to measure the patients recovery.

Whilst I’m sure SNG are getting lots of useful data it may not be in the form that would hold water to generate concrete findings and likely serve as a steer to investigate further.

Manifesto - likewise you can use the filter but you don’t you see it as your prerogative to bash down all the unnecessary negative posters which may or may not be justified I’m not backing up there posts.

But you clearly have no clue and are interpreting very vague comments based on second hand information and deducing that news will land in August.

Then caveating it with a strong IMO.

You are overtly rose tinted on the time scales here IMO therefore I think it is my responsibility to temper that. Based on the private messages I received from many investor in SNG over the past 2years I feel it’s the right thing to do to urge caution and clearly highlight when timescales are being construed based on optimism.

I would dearly love news to land in August but I have seen no messaging to date that gives a firm steer that August is a given.

Therefore I would urge caution. The smart money that can wait might be having a nibble these past few weeks.

Seems you have a very short memory and have learnt nothing about SNG’s pattern of behaviour.

I would temper the August expectation.

Manifesto - There has been some research posted here which shows the scientific community are still unravelling the science around the many forms of covid.

Which is great exactly what the board should be for.

Was it significant? Everyone will have an opinion on that.

I’m yet to see anything that’s a smoking gun. But there is clearly a lot of people investigating many different avenues and it appears SNG will have a part to play in the overall story here.

One thing is for sure it has been a rich period of time to be a research scientist.
