C-o-o-o-c-koo - Once you get to the big school, a further attempt might be made to teach you an elementary level of reading ability. A rudimentary grip of analysis is another thing altogether, but one step at a time. Certainly Care in the Community is just not doing you any good at all, in fact it may be detrimental!
purdey - there are numerous examples of companies being taken private, dell, heinz alliance boots, burger king etc.
a prominent one was the virgin group, which having floated on the stock exchange, did not think it was sufficiently valued in the markets.they bought back all of the shares in issue at the exact price that the original share offer to the markets had been made. essentially nobody who bought in the original offering lost out - they got their money back, unless they had sold prior to going private. virgin then de-listed.
if an offer was made to take deltic private, it would need the backing of key shareholders, with combined shareholdings in excess of 50%, possibly backed by smaller shareholders, but still speaking for 50% plus of the issued voting shares. if say major shareholders voted in favour of going private, the remainder of shares will be mopped up by the company at the price agreed with the major shareholders. small shareholders being squeezed out do not generally receive the value that they see in their shares. but, look on the good side, it would get rid of ****ski and ****oo, if they are not the same individual anyway!
No, the key for the Israeli websites, and any other websites, having their websites bombarded with malicious traffic is to prevent this happening in the first place! Dealing with the infiltrating issues afterwards is a secondary consideration.
I have to admit that if I felt that there was any "continuity" whatsoever with Algy Clough's enterprises I would never have touched Deltic with a bargepole, even though I have seen more than my share of Penny Share Tips highlighting Cloughs latest Shenanigans in the past, I was never even remotely tempted to get involved. Until now I have however personally never mentioned continuity at any point.
FD20 - I can see your argument, but hope you are wrong. Deltic Energy may have the genes of Algy Clough, but the DNA of companies inevitably changes over the decades. I bought my Deltic energy shares on the 31st July with the view that it is a completely different company & my view has not changed - proven Pensacola resources had suddenly doubled, conservatively worth a $1 billion to Deltic the alliance with the mighty shell, the possibility of Selene turning up trumps, a capitalisation of only £25-30 million etc. Clough Resources was never in this enviable position.
The slightest hint that there is actually any residual "continuity" with the original company and the debacles of the past, rather than learning from past mistakes & chicanery & I am out of it immediately!
You stated that Poppy had "no viable connection" presumably to the case.
She worked in a senior decision making capacity at Autonomy as long ago as 2009, for a period measured in years. she has strong links to Mike Lynch which include setting up Darktrace, she was CEO of Darktrace whilst Mike Lynch was on the Advisory Board etc, she has been CEO throughout the time Mike Lynch and his wife have been major shareholders of Darktrace, she has links with Invoke capital, and for some mysterious reason obviously beyond your comprehension the American Court wants her witness statement!!! Stating that she had "no viable connection" really says all that is needed about your analytical ability - clueless even if the facts are in front of you!
DC - Excellent. Although for a company that trades on both continents & has Government "contracts," or aspires to having Government contracts, life can obviously be made difficult.
DP - yes, a bit weird when it helps to fund Iran producing weapons grade nuclear material. Probably trying to get Iran more reasonably inclined towards the West and the US Great Satan, whilst At the same time
Nomad I might have guessed you would bring unsuspecting virgins into the equation, but I think you need to define the virgins more accurately. Does any virgin count:
Clara Meadmore was one of the oldest living people and the oldest known virgin in the world. A year before she passed away in 2011 at the age of 108, Meadmore publicly celebrated her 107th birthday and told news outlets that the secret to her longevity was abstinence.
The OP will be elevated for some time. The Israeli response never differs, "an eye for an eye" translates as many eyes for one eye also "cut off the head of the snake." Initially Israeli planes have gone in as an instant response, but there will be no measured response. Israel has already declared that it will totally degrade Hamas's military capability. Israel is on a war footing & the tanks will roll into Gaza. There will be a long and bloody conflict until international and particularly US pressure call time & an inevitably botched ceasefire agreement will come into being!
Fears will abound in relation to the straits of Hormuz, escalation relating to Iran's complicity in the conflict or other neighbouring states joining in. Is the US the Great Satan or the great peacemaker! Lets face it numerous middle-eastern countries were getting a bit stroppy & independent for the US liking, so a conflict that throws up threats to national security across the region will have quite a few states hop into bed with the US, "securing" or making more secure world oil supplies.
Essentially the basic instinct of men is to kill to survive, and they never need much excuse to start killing each other. If a devastating new weapon is developed it seems that there are people saying "I cant wait to see what this does" than there are those who see it as a deterrent.
The recoverable reserves of oil alone at Pensacola owned by Deltic are currently worth around 40 x Deltic's capitalisation. This is obvious to most investors & it is also obvious that Deltic will need to raise capital to optimise its returns. The SP will be under pressure until the market expectation of secured funding is announced.
If your rather abstract desired outcome from continuing to hold Deltic shares is in finding it funny to watch other 'passionate' investors squirm as the share price falls, why not simply sell now and watch the share price go down. You have the right mentality to find this even funnier. But you would be well advised to check out your investment criteria!
Personally I have no real "passion" for any shares, as the shares do not know that I own them! It simply does not impact on me heavily whatever happens with the Deltic share price. One oil share has gone up by more for me this morning, than my entire holding of Deltic which I have held for a few weeks now, covering my gamble on Deltic completely.
I know all about the colourful history of the company - Algy Clough and Clough Resources. Deltic Energy is potentially a completely different company. You clearly made a bad investment, were foolish enough to stick with it for nearly a decade and hope for the best. The fact that you are incapable of working out the current prospects for Deltic with extractable oil that has a current value of $1 billion, is a strong indicator of your lack of capable analysis as an investor. Maybe the number of noughts is off your radar, but I did maths at school!
If Deltic do not exploit the proven riches of Pensacola, another company will step in and do it for them. You are so blindly bitter you are oblivious to the facts! Calling people names simply lowers your credibility even more, if that is possible.
Oil should be up on Monday with War rather than Border Incursion in the Middle-East:

Expect a sledgehammer response from Israel's Netanyahu, younger brother of Yoni Netanyahu, the youngest Colonel in the Israeli Defence Forces, who was killed in the famous 1976 raid on Entebbe. The raid was carried out by the secretive Sayaret Matkal (Matkal Scouts) & guess what, Benjamin Netanyahu, the PM was also a member of what is generally known as the Unit - anyone interested should read "Secret Soldier" by Muki Betser.
Cuckoo Deltic Energy is an AIM listed company, it will need to source additional funding before the turn of the year (through loans, share issues farming out assets or whatever, proven reserves might even have unforeseen extraction difficulties, or not come on stream until later than anticipated, Shell might pull out - although this is extremely unlikely. High risk though, but potentially high-reward.
All investment represents varying degrees of risk though. US Treasury Bonds have always been presented as risk free, but that is not the case at the moment - witness the fate of US regional Banks recently. Essentially if you have no appetite for risk, and you look on the markets negatively and depressively you should stay out of them, rather than lambasting others with groundless largely unsubstantiated drivel.
From Deltic's August 2023 Interim Report, "Pensacola is now estimated to contain material volumes of oil, representing circa. 30% of the combined." So, if you just look at the oil discovery alone at Penascola: Deltics 30% share of of the Estimated Ultimate Recovery from Pensacola i.e. almost 30 million barrels of oil equivalent (mmboe) - 30% of this is oil. In terms of value at today's price that is approximately 9 million barrels of oil alone at a price for Brent of $84.06 per barrel. Around $1 billion.
Then you could forecast the value of the gas additional to this, but this is more for the optimists amongst us!
Reuters view on the gas market - the only thing it seems to miss is that with gas storage in Europe at near capacity it pays strategically to keep levels higher than usual just in case. Essentially high prices have been paid for the gas, and storage costs are significant, but does Europe now buy cheaper gas & use it to meet the majority of their needs:

If its an unseasonal severely cold Winter though, politicians tend to forget good intentions and strategy if constituents are cold!
