spikeyj, yes market moving up but voda sat still, ok its risen above recent lows. char333, I see voda as an income stock play rather than something that will wizz up. If thats what you want look for something else that doesn't pay out dividends. For me this is about reinvesting divis hopefully on dips to get my growth and if it was up in the 240's right now I wouldn't be buying or for that matter growing. Still waiting for 180's, that bigger yield will make me grow faster. I think the FTSE has not moved much in ten years ....... unless you reinvested your divis. Time not timing seems to be working. I dont think I'm lucky enough with trying to do timing.

I see reports of Mr Green has made a "donation" close to half a billion dollars into the pension schemes. Is he the white knight (literally) or was that about to be forced on him through the courts, I dont know. Glad that the pensioners worries have been relieved a little. Will the media be less sensationalist now as I would like to know the facts about all this rather than bias opinions. Maybe he should have used it to buy a share in debs, given some of the people their jobs back and got them into better pensions or would the media blame him for debs not paying the minimum wage.

Even the government can understand those basics, even if they dont live in the real world like most companies, after all didn't they split nurses pay a while back, for all the same reasons.
