TCG have done brilliantly keeping this under wraps and have those who are still in the running, Lufthansa (****y pants) have already disclosed “we are unlikely to be the winning bidder - should have upped your price then!

A recent article said that those bidding will need to reafirm their final bids by end of June beginning of July (quote 3rd of June - 3 weeks or so) and that’s why I am sure when reaffirmed in writing we will get news very soon during July. Question is what comes first, offers or results?

Unlikely to take two years bigwigs when TCG need the strategy to be in place at the very latest by October. I personally feel Mews will come in July along with results. Airlines have been separated for a reason. Expect a TR1 from Fosun.

Looking at companies house, it appears that the airlines were split from the tour operator and registered separately back at the end of 2017.
Just happens that this is when Fosun bought its initial 10% and has now at least 18%.

Surely there must be the possibility to sewerage our thebairline from the tour operator as a separate entity, they are going to sell it anyway. At least by separating it it gives Fosun an open door to takeover.

Hi Fly was founded in 2005 and has its HQ in Lisbon and a subsidiary in Malta. Other firms to have expressed an interest include Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Atlantic, Lufthansa and aviation investor Indigo Partners.

As far as I am aware these are the "Known" bidders for Thomas Cook, I am sure I have not got all of them so if anyone would like to add to the list or for that matter in a balanced view remove them from the list with a factual view as to why they have been removed then please do add your comment.

Quisty, agree its the board of directors but if shorting was not done on the company it may ease the burden, we all know that shorters - if willing - can ruin a company, I feel very fortunate that we have some extremely strong institutional investors that are will to support Thomas Cook.

Fosun have bought nearly 20% of Thomas Cook, they have made an offer, they are not doing that just for a giggle.. as mentioned below TCG have engaged the top companies to assist them in the negotiations to which even the insurers are present to make sure everything is covered before news breaks out. Dont listen to the doubters.

Alamo, you say "bids are to low" where is your proof? You do not have access to the information the board of directors do so without this you are blatantly lieing.

Guaranteed seats, why is this being viewed by some as a draw back? Seriously if I were to be offered lets say a 5 bedroom property to buy and wanted a guaranteed income from tenanants and the person selling me the property said I can guarantee you 3 properties filled at a profit so you only have to fill the remaining 2 I think I would be quite happy.

I agree with most of what you say regards how TCG has been run, but I feel that there are several shinning lights at the moment, Triton, Hi Fly, Virgin and Fosun are still in the running as far as I am aware to purchase part and in some cases very large parts of the company. I do not have a high average with TCG so I am happy to sit it out and wait to see what comes from one or more of these offers. When I was invested in FOOT at 24p there was so much negative media towards the end continually washing the same bad news just wrapping it up as something else, low and behold JDSprt bought out FOOT for 82p a share and I was still holding. Happy to wait and see... and along the way if MF wash another dirty load of old info I will (for what little it will do) still expose them unless they try at least once to focus on what one of the above named companys might be able to do for TCG.

Quisty... first of all read back through the posts.. You threw the first insult at me, likewise Roger threw the first insult at me not I at him... so now thats clarified I think you in no position to comment on those that insult others.

Do I work for the TCG PR department ..? Nope I am pretty sure they have better things to do than waste their time on indiviuals like you and Roger. What is my motivation? I am happy to admit I hold shares in TCG, other than that its none of your business. So... do tell me, what is you motivation for being so negative on Thomas Cook other than you think there are to many planes up in the sky because I can't see you slating TUI. Easyjet or Ryanair etc.
