The Motley Fool are complete garbage when comes to giving advise on shares have been against TCG for ever, I remember them touting TCG as a sell sub 12p and then it went to 20p! Sit tight is probably right at the moment, with talks on going and insurers now at the table they are working out the last final details, like TCG said "we are not going bust and have several credible offers"... Id rather commit to that in an rns than TMF..

Normally Q3 is a good period for TCG, but to think that we might not here news prior to this would be a bit strange, yes it does take time but initial bids were coming in during February, IMO we will hear something prior to results, I have no insider knowledge to back this up, only that it’s been 4 months now and I believe many of those making bids will want to know where they stand.

Back in April, Fosun topped up on TCG shares at 24p, if anyone needed confidence that we should move up from 15p, it’s should bring comfort that an 18% plus share holder is willing to buy at that price.

JJ I am glad we agree that Fosun could buy TCG minus the airlines which could be sold off in conjunction with any strategic review. Now the point aboiut Lufthansa... Would it and I am not saying they would, but would it be in their interest to issue a potential profit warning so that TCG would be more appealing to any initial suggested offer and not be asking for more, of course it would, TCG are not idiots, they need to secure the best deal that they possibly can hense the time this is taking.

Split the different airline divisions owned by TCG and sell them off to each of the proposed EU companies making an offer, Fosun could takeover TCG and still use the planes to carry its passengers.

JJ... I am sorry but you lost credability in you last post "And after the profit warnings from Lufthansa, the possibility of an airline sale has declined substantially." Do you really think that when Lufthansa made the offer to buy Condor or parts of the airline that they were not aware of their profit margins and any forth coming RNS's on their behalf? I am quite sure that any "credible" bids are to say the least "credible", best wait and see. Fosun might well buy the whole lot and sell sections off that are not in there strategic plan.

They are duty bound Bkkk, but they have advised they have recieved the preliminary bid, they have been sorting out who gets what and at what price, must be lots to deal with... Agree we need an update though

#FOOT was 24p, riddled with debt and eveyone said "its going tiss up" I got in... next minute JDSports start buying.. then JDS said "oh we are only buying to stop a counter bid" within 4 weeks FOOT had an offer from JDS of 82p per share. Best you take a seat BkkBkk, I am not sure of the exact figure in the last tweleve months but its near 114p and TCG will be under pressure to advise all bidders, emploees and unions of whats going on.

JJ I dont think Fosun are looking at buying a division of TCG, more likely the whole lot and in that case a takeover bid would likely be around 100p based on the last 12 months trading. With regards to Lufthansa using capacity, TCG have already sais they would have to secure TCG passengers, these flights are not always full so Lufthansa would have any additional space for their own passengers thus filling up the flights in the most economical way.

From 11 Analysts... its leaning toward a buy currently with an avergae price 17p

JJ... over capacity will be culled by Lufthansa buying the fleet which would enable them instantly in taking out some of the competition and become big enough to compete against any other competition, if it were not good for them they would not be making an offer.

I asked this before recently, appologies I did not see any response, If Fosun make a takeover bid for TCG, am I not write in thinking they will have to make an offer as the highest paid in the last 12 months?
