RE: Cineworld, the UK’s most-shorted company2 Jan 2022 23:28
truant, truly genius shorting at c.32p pretty much same company (many factors now improved, some at least for now worsened) you could have shorted at 124p 9months ago.
SP will almost certainly move both up and down in the days weeks months ahead and truth is none of us know by how much, for how long and when.
Those claiming to know well....
We had this jist over a year ago too and in that time it fell from pretty steady 50p range to sub 20p to then rose to 124p all in a few short months to then fall again in few months to pretty steady low 60's for number of months then a spike or two briefly up before latest fall to low 30's.
If investing long or short do so, calling those with opposing strategy idiots/mugs etc is playground stuff.
Express and show some solid data to back up a position. It may educate those of other viewpoint and step back and re-evaluate their previous thinking.
Just saying:debt, shorted, article from a biased source says this. Mug, idiot, easy money blah blah blah is never going to achieve anything worthwhile.
Has been some mild entertainment in this board again in recent days so thank some for that as it was a tough day or two at first news of lost CP case.
Lifes a Daisy again now though ;-)
