Welcome to share investment. You will not get everyone right. Some will perform better than others and at different rates.

Usual FT we have come to expect over the months now.
Report structure essentially same message each time.

Maybe Jangho are dropping them £50k an article as they get to slip in and add c.1% each time the FT lowers price by a few p briefly for them :-)
If you doubt that look at start of last week when "there was a mass uprising against the at the the proposed LTIP"
Price dipped to 62p, plan passed with flying colours and so was mid 70's same day before GME hysteria added a few % briefly next two days to hit 88p.

Yes Cineworld has a high level of debt to finance and wants really to be open May or earlier. After May just means things will require lenders to possibly work a bit with them.
If it were too easy the LTIP wouldnt be passed for levels it was.

They were $7 in September before any of recent pyramid scheme hype.

I called Ciner out as full of unsubstantiated sh*t when he appeared and was suddenly the Messiah a couple days ago.
Yet number of people on the board didn't like what I was saying.
As we stand today:
GME DOWN c.75% from its hyped peak.
AMC DOWN c. 60% from its hyped peak.
Cine briefly gained maybe 15% for couple days last week on the hype and is now trading roughly where we would reasonably expected it to be had there never been the above events.
It has threatened to break out from its previous cap of 68/69p for weeks/over month and once that was inevitably passed we were always going to see mid high 70's in all probability pretty quickly.
Vaccines rolling out in both major markets also meant we were going to progress to around here.
Anyway, enjoy Ciner and some others shouting empty information as that seems preferred.
Don't wish to outstay my welcome.

Think it was only last night on your similar thread I was calling for UK going for say 1m per day soon to really get us all going again.
Certainly the coming few weeks are going to get much more interesting and start giving the government and us something of a picture to next moves and when.

Nobody I imagine would say no to landing on the stock that rises 1000, 2000, 12000% in a short period of time.
For every one of them there are thousands, tens of thousands of businesses so for most individuals the odds are HEAVILY against ever hitting that one.
The relevant levels of shorts, the price point they are in at, the availability of shares, the mix of holders and so much more make it very unlikely to be sitting on a massive short squeeze here.
Look at how Jangho have added higher % than shorts require with pretty small share price movements.
Of the small number of shorts of any size open there is ONE, only ONE of any note in a difficult position currently. That is NHC with 2.84%.
I will gladly accept it of it were to happen, BUT anything I see before me says the chances are slim to none.
Happy to buy every poster here that has predicted a GME or even AMC like rise in next week or two here a meal if it transpires.
If it doesn't then in return of every poster that's said it will happen buys me a meal.

140% short v what 10% short!?
Two different beasts for me the chances are 0.0000something % of a game like 30 bagger in a week.

Oh very last point.
The one part in shorting I would say that without doubt is wrong is how can more than 100% of shares ever be shorted.
Infact how can it ever be anywhere near that assuming a certain % of share owners never "borrow" their shares to someone to short.
That part for me is absolutely rotten to the core.

In the main I agree that shorting is not a great practice.
Though it needn't be a completely awful business.
Without it we may just see a return to more widespread pumping of stocks where again average Joe still gets shafted buying into an overinflated share price. The big boys sell near the top and we get screwed again.
Shares market has I guess become more and more like wider market of gambling.
We can bet on number of corners in a game of football FFS, individual through the likes of Betfair can now become the bookie and "lay bets".

Agree though let's move on, shorting is on balance I think a poorer thing than it is good.
Property is maybe a bad example by Musk as often an individual sells their property when really the bank own more than they do ;-)

Thanks for this, few decent bits of information and some initial thoughts on possible times for things opening up.
Late April/May for cinemas would be my rough interpretation of what to expect going by what's said in article.
Roll out continues to go fairly well and I would say about where we need to be for government target 1.
As we can see average needs to come up, but we have shown we can do these levels and more.
I would be keen we kept on pushing the pace even more (realise supply may be the main block to that and pure manpower to administer vaccine. Medical peeps no doubt tired in many cases too. However would it not be overall Benedict to all including medical professionals and volunteers if we could say get doing 5m a week or even 1m per day. This would get a return to more regular medical workers lives as well as everyone else's far quicker and economy running saving jobs).
Wonder how soon now we will stop seeing deaths of 1000+ per day.

I did note your rationally point and sounds like you are largely sticking to good old school principles of investing on sound information relevant to the company and evaluating its current relative value.

One thing though with regards the shorts having manipulated a share price unfairly down (assuming it is a business on good fundamentals then largely speaking it continue to operate, make profits, pay dividends and share price will at some point go up).
This movemement has created a far greater manipulated price for GAME in particular and it is a business not without its troubles.
Seems to me one devil is being tackled by another devil and I would be surprised if it leads to the practice of shorting being made illegal.
Lobbying the relevant authorities would be the truly moral high ground and nobody need lose their rent money for a short term win against the man.
Anyway, enough of this for me now.

£10 plus here would be life changing for me also Onlyone and I wouldnt be missing that opportunity.
I would at minimum take a portion out at that level.

I hear what you are saying and am sure at least some of the movement have or had good intentions of wanting to flag up a practise many fond questionable.
Let's see how it plays out as most of us are watching from sidelines (as I said before I did consider a punt on AMC at $2 as felt they like Cine would sort finding and would recover at least some of previous $7 SP, had no idea of this stuff at the time).
Personally I can not see GAME being anywhere near $300 (or even more) next year (probably not even in a few months time).
It's also all rather sweet and innocent to think most or all of and when decide will get out with handsome profits.
We have all seen how a share can open massively down on previous day's price with no opportunity for us to have sold.

BOOM 80% down and you are stuck well and truly.

Anyway back to Cineworld, vaccine progress, Jangho, continued SP recovery, cinemas opening 2nd 1/4 hopefully in both USA and UK.

Podcast regardless of how the $300 comes, if it's lost in a false priced share it's $300 that individual or family has to find another way to feed themselves or keep roof over heads as was intended.

It's effectively a shares pyramid scheme as I see it.
Some shorts will get hurt and some pretty bad (initially), but as I said in last comment I believe ultimately most or all will be able to regroup.
Small time guys like us getting in on this after the first day will mostly get burnt and for many it will be massive % loss .
Will crash down as quick or quicker than it has gone up and many just won't be able to get out anything near what they are now paying.

Time will tell, let's see.
