Kavango Resources plc (LSE:KAV), the exploration company targeting the discovery of world-class mineral deposits in Botswana, is pleased to announce the identification of an electro-magnetic ("EM") anomaly in Target Area B in the Hu****si (northern) section of the Company's Kalahari Suture Zone ("KSZ") Project.

Designated Target B1 ("B1"), the conductive anomaly is 475m by 550m with a conductance of approximately 8,200Siemens. The decay constant is estimated to be in excess of 350ms.

Target Area B is roughly 12km from Target C1 (announced on 15 June 2021). Kavango believes Target Area B is in a separate, distinct geological setting to the A-C corridor.

The Company is in discussion with Equity Drilling & Mindea Exploration and Drilling Services (Pty) to extend the current drill contract to include drilling a 550m borehole into B1, to retrieve core from the bottom of the "Norilsk-style keel" that underneath it.

The Company has also engaged its strategic partner Spectral Geophysics to conduct two more Time Domain Electromagnetic ("TDEM") surveys in Target Area B.

Deepjoy - Thanks. I'm comfortable. The thing with risk Vs reward at this level is you can be wrong 8/9 out of ten times and still make money. Thankfully I'm usually fairly right (but not perfect).

The other option I'd not recommend but may do if other holding allow is to over position by 50%, and wait for an inevitable rise in the coming 12 months and then sell the inflated position down to the target holding. I don't like the term free ride as it's still cash but anyway, that concept.

This will be a multi year hold for true potential IMO. Too early to be ****sure on but I am sure it's a good price today for its potential.

I'ts quite possible I miss the bottom with a second tranche of investment. It may be I made the bottom today. However as you imply, market may not rise and may even drop a little more until finalised.
I'll add slat least one more tranche within next 2-3 weeks. Then a third depending on direction of shareprice and market sentiment. That said anything between 2 and 2.5p is fantastic entry IMO.

A market cap of £9 million is too low.

It's binary here. If the market matures, and bids continue as a concern in this market, the upside is enormous. Between 10-100 times today's price is possible (subject to them reaching revenue to meet most or all opex).

Much worse companies than bids at £9 million.

It's not one to throw your sink into but I'll buy up to £25k worth in my SIPP, and then leave them.

I can understand why many are frustrated here but at this low price the risk is more than factored in. So while it's not risk free (nothing is) it is at a value price IMO.

This is the time to buy IMO and I've waited and watched for some time.

The price/market has factored in the placement hence the huge drop, and bargain price today.

Consider who the majority shareholders are. Consider the consequence of this placing not being approved. Use your coming sense.

So I've posted a couple time ls here over last 3-6 months.
I said I was waiting for a placing. As it's now completed I've now added an initial tranche.
Only two trades of a about 225k - 235k shares each for now at about 2.2-2.23p.
Would have preferred 0.1-0.2 lower but only first tranche and missed the start of market grrr.
Kept some dry for future positioning if required.
I'd like at least double current but don't want to swop anything.

So you're saying you've mitigated some of the risk, and have relevant and extensive experience to help ensure success. I suppose a bit like the experienced individuals in charge of the RMM turnaround plan .

Does that mean you can stop banging on about the even the most unlikely risks whenever anyone mentions one. Maybe focus on why you're invested. Rather than why one shouldn't.

@amajor-Tom - Regarding the perceived cost of Rothschild's pointing to an asset sale, rather than a JV. I'm sure ARCM could have that as a stipulation/condition fairly easily if desired i.e. that all legal, advisory and consultancy fees derived during the completion of the commercial transaction (even a JV) is covered in full by AA.

@Ella, regarding your comment about Rothschild being used as they seem to have been involved in deals where arbitration is a factor. I'm sure they've been involved in countless sorts of deals.
To my knowledge the Terra Metals issue you refer to is basically the same as the Mumena M situation.
Also its actually against Zamsort, prior to ARCM being involved but obviously still relevant given the asset ownership. That said this isn't new. ARCM clarified in March following media speculation. AA completed due diligence and I'm sure ARCM will have disclosed any risks, issues including MM. Also it's understood that negotiations have been active and productive during the months since.
I'm not sure on the relevance of this issue though. As if it was a deal breaker we wouldn't still be in discussion. Will AA try leverage off it maybe, but deal breaker, not in my view.

Akhtar, I don't think everyone here thinks the same. I think there are many views of the participants of the board here. Which is probably a good thing as it broadens our natural though patterns I guess.

Personally, I think a deal with AA will only NOT happen if they decide that ARCMs deal requirements are too high at this stage. Otherwise it'll happen imo.
As for whether it happens within the timeframe left of the EA. Too speculative to answer. It's obviously close.
I'm not too concerned if it doesn't happen within a few weeks if it means a better deal can be achieved. However, I'd 'like' to see us a ) not granting a further extension unless for a very small period for AA to conclude and b) to ensure if a deal is not finalised that it's communicating clearly as to the situation.

So I do believe a deal is likely, not sure when, likely a JV IMO. The reason I hold so much here though is that actually, we have further major interest, a funded drill programme and a feasible low capex production capable asset with low payback period and provides decent potential free cash flow. Most likely from asset backed finance not dilution.

But that's my view of it. Short term who knows what'll happen is all speculative
