Q. - This news should never have been out in the public domain ( if true) It was private and confidential and should have been released at the time of the boards choosing and not because of a leak by a party or parties with something to gain by its early release. So the Cat is out the proverbial bag and now the BOD will have to address it and it will be very interesting to see how they go about this and whether it affects the original timescales etc etc. All of course assuming it’s true which I am inclined to believe ( sadly)

Regarding the question of who may have leaked this story to the press I think you have to step back and think who would have the most to gain by leaking this story? For me it’s hands down CGP and my reasoning is simple. If Nick and Solg had agreed a succession plan for him to bow out in 6 months time and this was maybe tied into a JV with one or both of the majors For Alpala/ Cascabel then who might have the most to lose from this? In taking Alpala to a FS and onto construction CGP would then be on the hook for their share of costs ( circa $450m) so much better for them if they can stir the pot with leaking this story which might result in bids from other parties for Solg and avoids them having to stump up their share of costs which would be their worst case scenario! Just my musings and probably like most others way off the mark lol :)

Dart.- A big fly in the ointment around BHP/NCM issuing themselves more shares in the scenario you paint could be the requirement to pass resolutions 13 & 14 with a 70% majority of voting shareholders. Given Nick directly and indirectly controls somewhere in the region of 15 to 20% of the register it wouldn’t take very many votes against from other shareholders to stop these resolutions! Just a thought to ponder on

Viable - You’ve just reduced your holding in Solg and immediately start ramping other shares your invested in plus a dash of Solg de-ramping with talk of fault zones in other block cave mines. Hmmmmm if I didn’t know any better I would think you wanted the SP to drop so you could Hoover up some shares on the cheap? Strange old world eh?

When I spot there have been a lot of posts in a very short space of time it tells me our infestor is back so even before I have read any posts I am looking for his new moniker which I immediately filter without reading any of his posts! Simples and prevents any temptation to reply to his dross!

Quady - Of course he doesn’t! I filtered this joker last week as he is clearly de-ramping trying to buy in lower! My advice is to filter this poster as its a complete waste of time entering into any kind of rational conversation with him and he adds absolutely nothing to the discussions on this board!

Isn’t this a classic tell tale sign that corporate negotiations are taking place behind closed doors which in the case of Solg could be anyone of:-
1) Sale of Solg in its entirety
2) Cascabel / Alpala sale
3) Cascabel / Alpala JV
Given the amount of drilling we have completed since the last RNS something doesn’t quite feel right about the total lack of news which is starting to feel deafening! Maybe games are afoot and when we do finally get an RNS it will truely be a game changer for Solg and it’s shareholders? Pure speculation of course but with the recent events (AGM) it might explain why there is a total news blackout at present?

Why are you posting about Solg if you don’t rate the business or it’s management? You clearly have a de-ramping agenda and I can only conclude that you are currently out and wish to buy in lower hence your constant negativity towards Solg. I and other long term holders can see you very clearly for what you are so take your posts with a pinch of salt but I do worry that any new investors may actually listen to your tripe which is probably why you continue posting so much garbage! You really don’t add anything worthwhile to this board so your filtered and off into my trusty trash can - feeling better already :)

If the blockers don’t reappear and we get a stonking regional RNS tomorrow it may propel the SP back into the high 30’s which still significantly undervalues Solg but hopefully could provide a springboard into the 40’s which is long overdue!

Personally I don’t think the PFS will be published until the end of Q1 or maybe even into early Q2. My reasoning is the recent drilling at Tandy which has caused them to have a major rethink on the mine construction and they will need time to drill Tandy before they can make a call on how it will impact their plans. Plus it also gives them more time to drill and prove resources at Pov, Rio and possibly Blanca / Hue which could given the right results propel the SP much higher and defend against low ball bids once the PFS has been published which I believe is a pre requisite for the Majors given the massive costs involved!

The ONLY way us small pi’s will get anywhere near true value from our investment in Solg is with NM at the helm and those like Jerry who would vote against him are putting their faith in BHP & NCM that they will simply take the reigns and give the little boys fair value - it’s NEVER going to happen! They would have their “new board” issue ever increasing equity raisings whilst at the same time trying to keep the SP suppressed so the placings are cheap as chips for them. End result is death by a thousand cuts for pi’s as they slowly squeeze us out and takeover Solg for a song! I know which side my bread is buttered and it’s certainly not with the likes of BHP or Newcrest!

With all due respect Jerry that’s the kind of assertion made by remainers s against brexiteers who didn’t like the result and then kept claiming that if they knew then what we know now they would have voted differently! Errr absolutely NOT! I voted for Nick and nothing has changed in my mind and I will happily do so again and again until we small shareholders get fair value for our investment in Solg

Old news! Article published pre AGM ( which has already been shared on this BB ) so not sure why you want to post something again which is now past it’s sell by date as we now have the result of the AGM so no more speculation or conjecture just pure fact! So why bother posting OWAN?

Let’s not forget that the 2 resolutions withdrawn needed 75% (not 50.1%) to be adopted so they were always a stretch especially as they were potentially to the detriment of the existing major shareholders! Therefore no real surprise that they didn’t get approved and if you think for a minute about the message they were sending to the majors plus the recent £5m placing with the Chinese anyone would think that Nick was spoiling for a showdown with NCM & BHP? Now there’s a thought! Now everyone knows where everyone stands and the gloves are off which could turn out to be a good thing!

Nick has said all along that he wants to deliver shareholder value for ALL shareholders whether they have 1 share of millions of shares! He has stood up to the big boys who wanted to bully their way into having more control over Solg with dirt cheap placings and instead pulled a rabbit out of the hat with the Franco deal. Oh how the big boys squealed at that but Nick isn’t trying to be popular he’s trying to get a fair return for ALL shareholders on their investment in Solg and I for one am thankful that he is still at the helm rather than some patsy stooge of the majors who would sell us on the cheap! All this crap about Nick having to go is misguided and anyone who wants him replaced needs to have a very very hard think about what we might get in his place!
