When a Board member resigns (assuming he resigned) his resignation would have to be put in writing and agreed at the next Board meeting attended by other members. Ordinarily these tend to be convened Quarterly, or perhaps more frequently in larger corps where business of the day is many and varied etc. If Monk resigned it is entirely feasible that this was agreed at a Board mtg some weeks later (particularly as it was during holiday period when members would have been away). I don't find the timing too eye-raising, if due process is to be followed his resignation must first be accepted by the BOD before communicated outward, it's not uncommon.

New blood on the BOD will definitely be a sign of invigoration, should it come to pass. If by 'changes' they mean additions to the Board, then they may well be waiting on the HR/legal side to be completed before AGM date can be announced. They can't announce an AGM date if they are not 100% to have all planned bodies on board, excuse the pun. It's one of the exclusions - not having necessary board members available.

I'm also reading more announcements to come: "The Company looks forward to announcing further Board changes ahead of hosting its Annual General Meeting in early October.".

Readig today's RNS again, hand in hand with news that PM is leaving the company at end year, is the statement, not to be overlooked: "With Synairgen's resources dedicated to the clinical development of SNG001, Dr. Marcin Mankowski became the Company's Chief Medical Officer in 2023 and will continue to lead the clinical development strategy for SNG001." Then they thank "Phill for his significant contribution over many years, particularly for progressing the early-stage clinical development of SNG001". The key takeaway for me is that development is entering a new phase where early science is all but complete and this now necessitates a transition from the lab to commercialisation. It wil be interesting to see the nature of the further BOD changes they mention.

It is possible. With somebody, in a partner organisation, already in the kind of role that PM does. In that scenario he could be surplus to requirements.

They didn't oust PM just so they could 'appease' shareholders. There are lesser heads that could have gone if it was appeasement and cost cutting that as their focus. This feels much more a strategic decision, not a sudden knee-jerk.

1st difference: the recent addition of a positive sounding development... "and is excited about commencing this" . Not something they were stating in July, perhaps because since then some hills on the route have now been scaled?

2nd difference: the indication that we will be getting an update on activities when they notify us of the AGM date, not something they previously said... "An update on these activities, in addition to the timing of the AGM, will be announced via an RNS in due course."
