Thanks Trinityman, a couple of observations on your post if I may:
"It would have been beneficial if Marsden had clearly specified whether they were aiming for several trials running simultaneously, or one single entity involving many more patients treating a ‘broad spectrum’ at the same time, with varying results running side by side." Yes, it would have been wonderful. However, we operate in a highly competitive and potentially lucrative sphere. I'm satisfied that that the overall strategy has been communicated sufficiently to investors without giving too much away to potential suitors looking for any crack on the ledge, so to speak. The fact that the operational details of day-to-day progress remain tightly guarded, at this, presumably, pre-deal point, protects the company, and therefore the shareholders invested in it. Granted it must be painful for day-traders, but that is an aside. I cannot be alone in expecting that level of discretion pre-deal, it is simply good business practice. I'd rather RM did not divulge much at this point. I will have more tolerance for the relaying of competitive information once our future development path is contractually secured. Without going into the nitty gritty, I am sure most understand why this approach is vitally important. As the company have stated numerous times, they will tell us when they have news to share.
You say "There is enough evidence to suggest that SNG will be included on STRIVE P3, as they have clearly stated the treatment ‘merits further investigation’...." I think that is an oddly restrictive interpretation. My own view is that "Merits further investigation" in NO WAY limits us to just Strive. The company and their advisors have stated their desire to look at multiple options, and I see no reason why they should not. Let's not limit ourselves by our own lack of imagination?
"They (USA) have the cash, the BPs and the FDA.". Maybe, but as of this week we can now say assume UAE could give them a fair run for their money in all 3 regards too. Much welcome news. The company's recent actions show they now actively pursuing that market, and with newly acquired UK Gov support, even better. Good risk mitigation IMO; you don't want to be overly dependent on any one trial, or any one government, should things not pan out as expected.
