Your theory leaves out the part about the price a partner will have to pay for the data depending on when they receive it and how complete it is.
At the moment, there isn't much data so the price would be cheap. With AVACTA running the trial, the price for that data goes up. If it's a success, it goes up exponentially.
At the moment, partners will expect a significant discount. Down the line, they won't.
It is a risk for sure, but in my opinion, it's a calculated risk based on our science and our scientists' belief about what the trial will show.
I reacted poorly to this raise yesterday but having had the chance to think about it I'm happy.
Insider buying at a small discount is a great sign. The amount raised is practical and we remain in control of what could be a game-changing technology with the chance to add a couple of years to my early retirement plans
