Sounds like an A J Bell thing rather than a Skin thing.

In fairness to you though Lords, you at least understand the criticisms a few of us have of SOH in this regard.

Agree 100% Lords. Which is a big problem I have with SOH. Misleads investors by using timelines with massive caveats which means that he never has to actually deliver at any time.

This has been a repeated pattern over many years and many RNS’ where the suggested timelines aren’t just not met, but eventually whatever was originally said was going to happen is quietly forgotten.

My suspicion is that this is exactly what will happen in this instance. A year or two down the line we may still never have seen these products, SOH will have moved on to promising the next thing, critics will be told to forget about the past and focus on the next big thing which is just round the corner.

If they’re demonstrate a range of products to us in H1, I will be very pleased and will happily say so here.

As of now, those products haven’t been taste tested. Hopefully they get a move on.

That’s fair Lords, investment decisions often seem absurd to different people for different reasons. Either way it has led us both to the same conclusion which is to remain invested here.

On that note, what say you about the substantive point I made regarding SOH misleading investors yet again with his RNS about us having access to a Sweet product in H1.

If it hasn’t been taste-tested yet, there’s a long way to go as we know from experience.

Here’s my logic in holding Lords. My holding is so far in the tank it simply doesn’t make sense to sell. At this point, my risk tolerance says it’s better to let them fall to zero than sell now and lose the potential for any bump whatsoever. I’ve been fortunate with other investments and can let it ride.

The last time I said something positive about them coincided with the last time they posted something positive.

Anyway, none of the above changes the evaluation of what SOH has been stating and surely you agree that to be where we were many years ago is not where we expect3d to be when he said shareholders would have a product in h1?

A note on the impending announcement amount taste testing, I have a memory of taste testing being done on Sweet about 9 years ago. To be behind where we were 9 years ago is not positive. Think about it. The taste testing back then was seen as a very early step with many more steps to come. Why would it be seen any different now. And unless there is some serious rise in revenue some time soon from existing products (which there doesn’t appear to be in sufficient volume even though there’s been some progress), a huge delay in Sweet as seems likely is going to require serious dilution at all time lows in the SP.

I hate to be the harbinger and as you saw before, when they released the RNS at the turn of the year I was very positive and appreciated the actual numbers detailed. SOH creates this though by misleading investors. His RNS about a product being ready for investors in H1 was rightly interpreted by all of us as something concrete we could try, unless we are all being recruited as taste testers which is a specialist job, there was never going to be a product for us in H1.

I’m not particularly concerned at the delay, more annoyed.

It grates me when companies offer expected timescales only to exceed them and in this case, run at least 14 weeks over.

We have a new CEO and already she is chipping away at trust. I get that it’s a difficult situation but this doesn’t improve things.

I think that about nails the response.

The idea that we will mimic a previous strategy that hasn’t worked isn’t ideal.

With the recent announcement of an optimised enzyme-based production process for SweetBiotix and the expectation that second-generation products will be available for sampling / commercialisation in H1 2026, could you please clarify:

Have you submitted an application for UK Novel Food authorisation for SweetBiotix, and if so, what stage has it reached? If not yet submitted, what is the planned timeline?

Hi,

This is a complex area but one we and our partners are familiar with having taken LPLDl through full GRAS (the US equivalence to novel foods) and SlimBiome through self affirmed GRAS. The majority of our partners dont believe we will need novel food status as the deconstructs are FOS and glycosides which are well tolerated. The uniqueness is the process which creates a cleaner, sweeter product as a fibre without aftertastes and valorises commodities like sugar. If you think about it logically you will always need to taste test products during development before any regulatory process so you know that the product is commercially viable. There is a strict process for this so we have to do extensive testing (microbiological, heavy metals etc) and structural analysis and this is what takes the time. We will be announcing the plans for the taste testing shortly.

Thanks for the info AS. It makes for bleak reading if they haven't been approved yet. I would also have expected an RNS in the event of approval being granted.

I am invested. I remain invested because a large portion of my stock is so far under the water that's it simply wouldn't be worth selling any more, especially since there still remains the possibility of the rapid benefit any substantive news from Sweet would generate.

As for SOH being laser focused on Sweet now and taking a more hands on approach, I would bloody hope so. We're a tiny company, this is exactly what he should have been doing all the time. He's not the CEO of a global conglomerate with thousands of products

AIM is designed for companies like this, NASDAQ better suits a company like this of AVCT’s potential and stage of development because it would offer a much greater valuation and therefore lead to less dilution and easier fundraising.

US investors have much greater appetite for risk and a far greater tolerance for companies making a loss as they develop disrupting technologies.

On the flip side, listing on the Nasdaq is a large financial cost.

All of that being said, this is a great company right now at this price. I’m fortunate to be in at the lower 40s but I’m stunned this hasn’t regained a £. It will and is well worth the investment imo

AS, I agree. Essentially what I’m saying is he sold Skin not because he has information on what will happen there post suspension, but because he’s desperate for money to keep the lights on and has no other way of raising it.

You make a good point about the timing and the urgency of that need due to getting accounts signed off, and therefore he wouldn’t have time to wait for any bump if Sweet comes to pass.

I’ll go back to reserving my optimism on his Sweet statement based solely on his previous consistent mis-firing on the subject rather than linking it to the sale of Skin shares.

If he’s trading on inside information I actually would be surprised LoL. I don’t think he’d do something so seriously illegal. Could be my naivety though.

My judgement of his Sweet sentence and what will follow is separate from the disposal of Sweet but informed mostly by past utterances, and partly by the timing of the sale.

I doubt he’s heard anything about Skin as he’d have sold initially and not waited till they came back offering more. It would take unnecessarily balls of steel to turn down a buyer of a stock you know is going to tank.
