I was annoyed with myself for not adding yesterday as I expected a decent bump this morning so was very pleased to see a slight red on the board.

5k for me and 12k for my wife's SIPP. Let's hope for the sake of my domestic peace that I haven't made a dastardly miscalculation

Perhaps naively assuming there isn’t substantial more bad financial information to come out, this is now a VERY cheap stock. It has the sales to support a much higher market cap

The fact he’s resigned bodes well from a costs perspective. No pay off, no lengthy legal investigation by high priced lawyers.

I’m not inclined to add simply because between this and Opti I’m exposed enough but if I wasn’t so exposed, I’d probably add. The science remains the science and the products remain the products. Certainly wouldn’t be selling here.

There were some big sales of Opti recently. Be interesting if they were informed by what the board was doing to Ashman at Skin.

On the face of it, they didn’t make much sense at our low prices and with some positive news that has just been released.

For all my whining about selling Skin stock, perhaps it wasn’t so bad after all! (I jest, a bigger holding would mean we’d have taken a bigger hit but on a much larger valuation)

It’s crazy that there is a determined investor with very deep pockets who is seeking to acquire a large amount of stock….and yet the price doesn’t move.

There must be some equally determined sellers out there. Opti alone doesn’t explain it, they simply haven’t shifted enough stock to explain it

I posited the same idea a couple of years ago.

Seeing adverts on US TV for fizzy drinks using a sweetener made with monkfruit recently hasn't disabused me totally of the notion either.

The only flaw in that logic is the question of why the US partners who are paying a lot of money for exclusive rights, haven't reached that stage yet without any of the barriers that DSM have faced/created.

Good questions from you and others.

There is a little bit of confusion for me and what appears to be conflicting information on the change in the manufacturing process of Sweet.

He talks about working with DSM to help scale up manufacturing and the discovery of a new enzyme, and yet also talks working with smaller manufacturers to manufacture Sweet.

I guess he could be talking about manufacturing at scale for larger buyers and lesser quantities for smaller buyers but wouldn’t that breach the contract with DSM to have someone else manufacture it

I was trying to find out what other business Dixon owns that may offer some synergy for Skin. Can’t seem to find much.

He’s a wealthy man but wealthy men don’t tend to just throw £10 million at a punt or they don’t stay wealthy for long. It would be fair to assume that he has some experience with this industry and can see its potential and where this product fits. I can’t find it though.

As for where he’s getting the shares from, Opti and Seneca have caused a bit overhang and despite SOH’s (absurd) claim that Opti sales aren’t causing downward pressure on the price, centuries of market forces would dictate otherwise. It’s simple supply and demand and he is supplying the market with lots of shares.

The only surprise for me so far is that word is taking so long to get out and investors haven’t reacted more to this news. I know initially the volume was huge but I expected the price to grow over the following days

I’m pretty cynical with SOH these days but for what it’s worth, I thought that this RNS was refreshingly clear. It tells me how much revenue there is and when that revenue will be booked and it also adds that this is guaranteed.

It’s a shame they haven’t found someone who will put LPLDL into a yoghurt in the UK. I’d be all over that and I think it would be a hit.

I'm heartened that a lot of the previous criticism from investors may have landed and the company seems to have taken it on board. The new site is a good idea and a much better medium for interacting with us that the previous method of interviews with friendly bloggers.

Today's RNS and the hard figures it gives is excellent.

I also liked the previous comment or who mentioned how this is from repeat custom. It certainly does show a high degree of confidence from a customer when they have committed to ordering this amount backed by hard cash.
