This has to be a wind up.

The RNS, a legal document gives the number of shares bought and the price paid for each share. It’s a simple sum from there.

If this is a wind up, my hat’s off to you, it was somewhere between average and just above average. If you’re being serious then I hope you haven’t put too much of your net worth in stocks for your sake.

Ha. If our stock was worth that amount I'd be laughing and so would the rest of the investors.

Same as Lords, I'm into Opti for much more than this director. It's better than nothing but hardly a ringing endorsement of confidence.

Now if he put a £100k in, then we'd be talking.

Maybe I need to check my expectations but I'd expect a 3X on rumours and at least another 3X the morning of confirmation.

Having just plucked those multiples from thin air on the Central Line though, I'm sure how robust they are.

It's not a lot and won't sway this investor to bullishness but it is something. There have been an infuriating lack of these director buys while talking big over the years. At least it's a nod in the right direction

The lack of availability of a bulk sugar replacement has been one of my bigger disappointments here.

I understand the difficulties of producing a sugar replacement for well known products. There are the demands of the companies, their innate conservativism with new ingredients, and also cost. Diet Coke isn't more expensive than Coke (cheaper now due to sugar pricing regulations).

None of that applies to bulk sugar replacements though. Not only is cost not a huge factor, particularly at only a 10% mark up, but there is a ready market of billions for a healthy sugar replacement for daily use. Most sweeteners are already Al lot more than 10% more expensive than sugar and customers don't baulk.

In my opinion a launch in the UK would rapidly gain legs and allow favourable borrowing terms to roll it out globally.

Hope you're right Lords and you may well be. I accept that the optimistic view has been knocked well out of me over the last decade in this stock.

There certainly is a rational viewpoint that the development in Sweet is positive and what is required. My concern is that it will need to be ran through all the time consuming tests that previous iterations have had to face.

And 10p is breached with volume.

The news about the new Sweet enzyme is worrying. Having taken years to reach this point we now seem further away than we were 2 years ago.

SLIM clearly isn’t generating anywhere near enough revenue to support the salaries our company pays let alone returning value to shareholders.

These are dark days and what has changed from two years ago when we were down here is that this time, the company has far less assets than before having sold off its holdings, and no imminent announcement about imminent Sweet deals.

My investment in this is down well over 99%. So large that I completely forgot I owned it. Could believe the amount of interest in this board when I got the email from II about the vote.

Yep. Market changing news required. Unfortunately, the other products don't seem able to sustain the business.

Such a huge mistake on reflection to spin off the two other businesses. Yes, I see the logic in terms of dilution but that only makes business sense of Opti was able to thrive on its own at some point. Unfortunately, having sold down most of the Skin stake and with an illiquid stake in PBX, we are left with a much smaller share of the overall revenue and business opportunities with no upside in terms of Opti development

I want to read about the claims of efficacy, I'll make my mind up whether I believe those claims.

It would be negligent not to look at them though.

Or maybe your investment strategy involves sitting in a dark room never investing in anything other than gold because everything else is a little bit too risky.

I am a small long term investor who has done some research but nothing extensive and would like to do a bit more.

I had a conversation at the weekend with someone who knows a great deal about this area and they posited the idea that AVACTA's delivery mechanism might detract from the effectiveness of the warhead in combating the tumour.

I know we are only on 1b so aren't deep into efficacy yet but I also know there have been some positive signs.

Can someone point me to some things to read on this or is the only thing available for me to wade through all the RNS?

Good quote. I'm not too worried about the exact timing of 'not too distant future'. I'd give them a few more months on it given the industry we're in. That being said, I'd be very happy if it was earlier

I’m cynical about this. To me this looks like SOH doing something to get an RNS out that will excite a small number of investors and hopefully distract us from the lack of substantive progress the company is making particularly on Sweet.

There doesn’t appear to be a business case to be made for the expense of listing there even if the expense is very small. The claim that this will raise our profile with American investors is absurd given that we are a tiny entity on a tiny exchange that is only followed by small-time gamblers looking for their corporate lottery win.

He’s had a strategy over the years of throwing as much news out as possible in the hopes of shifting the share price despite claiming in the past that he is more interested in building a company than building a share price.

If he wants to do something that will truly benefit the company, just get Sweet on the shelves. That’s it.

Being listed in the US can be a positive but I’m not sure about this exchange. Seems like this is the sort of place where there would be A LOT of junk.

SOH cosying up to him tarnished this company's credibility and I was always very uneasy about it particularly that Sharestock cringe which has all the hallmark of a total grift.

It never made sense to me from an Opti POV. If we were issuing equity I could understand why you'd want those mouthpieces on board because people do follow them weirdly enough but we have only issued new equity once.

As for the new RNS, it is absolutely devoid of meaning without an order and the market is long since over SOH's promises of what may follow in terms of orders as was demonstrated yesterday.
