Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
I note the net assets attributable to ordinary shareholders is AFTER secured/ unsecured loans and preference shares. Is this part of the reason? Thanks.
Soz for the schoolboy question here folks, but can anyone tell me whether the NAV per share is relevant in the case of Metro being taken over? As I understand it (and I'm no accountant - I specialise in pensions!) the NAV is based on the net assets attributable to ordinary shareholders divided by the no of ordinary shares in issue. The ADVFN website shows the NAV per share as £9.181. Why is this so wildly off the actual sp, is it likely the net assets attributable to ordinary shareholders will drastically reduce as a result of COVID-19 and other events brought on by the misdemeanors of the BOD?
Thanks in advance!
I saw that HSBC target was also downgraded by RBC to £4.40 from £5.20 (currently around £4.80/ share) and was around £6+ last month, so is this £1.50 target perhaps trying to factor-in the effects of COVID-19?
Also, unsure why HSBC is trading 109% of this value when MTRO is only at 55% - seems a bit oversold IMO...
For info, I am holding MTRO and have been for some months now... Stay safe all!
Thanks Auson,
No, my name comes from the 00s film called Old School - FTT is played by Will Ferrell...
Hi all,
I am just wondering why the Market cap is only £377m when the bond offer is for £350m (93% of the company 'value') - is this allowed in terms of percentages and if the M/cap drops below £350m would it still be OK, or does the share price have no bearing on this?
Thanks, FTT
What about your LONG Johns?! 😅
thanks Jarv55.
from making a low-ball offer, causing the SP to depress, so he can then buy up more shares at a low price, then come back with a higher offer? Or is he restricted to 29.99% by the Takeover Code such that he cannot increase his holding over 30%? Soz, I don't know much about this sort of thing so would appreciate anyone's thoughts...
...less the 29.9% he already controls, of course!
SPD paid £90m for HofF (out of administration) so MA would be highly unlikely/ stupid to only offer a low-ball £25m for DEB (2p/ share) imo. £100m (8p/ share) is closer to the mark for me personally, but I as a minimal shareholder have absolutely no say in the matter, sadly. It's for MA and the BOD to agree and these things often end poorly for the humble PI unfortunately. I'm holding my breath for a 'fair' offer to be tabled by the end of this week, but have only invested what I can afford to lose and hopefully something acceptable will come off... GL to all invested.
LA died in the mid-80s and would be 94 if still alive. Lol :-)
By waiving 3% interest on a loan of £150m over 12m, this saves £4.5m costs for an additional 5% stake in DEB.
Does that mean the 'value' to MA is 20x this stake (i.e. 5% x 20 = 100%), making it £4.5m x 20 = £90m?
If so and he values the company at £90m at least (if he's prepared to forego any interest or still offer the loan with interest for no additional stake) then I feel the SP is quite undervalued at an m/cap of £40m.
Thoughts?
this title reminds me of tequila... one, two, three, FLOOR
When we are expecting the next piece of news here? Cheers!
Was a buy at 6.05p but the sp ended in the range 5.7-5.9. Anyone have any ideas why as the buy seemed live rather than delayed? Could possibly open up a bit in the morning?
been out and only just noticed the RNS from this morning - onwards and upwards now then!! (IMO of course)...
on why this was held around 3p (bar some tiny movements) for the last 5 or so trading hours? The MMs appear to be keeping it at that level...
sorry guys, in the spirit of honesty that was my sell, as I needed to de-risk a bit - bought them close to 0.08p so a nice profit and still holding onto my other 4.5m...
why it has suddenly jumped so much, but I guess it has been a bit of a ticking timebomb due to the amount of shares available. I bought my last tranche this morning at 0.09p and now hold a total of 7m shares, not planning to sell any until we get some more updates re revenue...
0.2p is a market cap of £2,572,860, versus gross revenue of £1,819,000 in the last year, so only 1.4x this.
I am personally waiting for more, circa 0.5p or higher, but each to their own..
