The management have already said that things are going well but are uncertain and results are due anytime in Q4 so that's been out there in the public domain since before he bought. If the results are good then nothing has really changed so I don't see a problem.

It might mean that there is no firm deal in place as yet but that doesn't mean there won't be interest soon after the results are known.

It could be change of strategy!!

Perhaps the P&D has now become the D&P too see if it has the opposite effect?

I wasn't suggesting it was going to happen on the 1st October. I was just implying that there is only one more week where we are pretty certain it's not going drop. In other words, one more week where things are likely to stay quiet because no one expects anything to happen.

I would hope that once we are in the target period, we might see a bit more interest

The sells were stifled today. Hull was right, I got NT for test sells of 100k in both my ISA and SIPP at the time that post was made. I got quotes for buys though. I felt positive today and I want it to continue but I'm not swallowing any more BS.

We are 1 week away from Q4 and the promised news stream, its time Allenby started earning their keep and drew in some interest in what has to be the most undervalued share I've ever known (if you read the Allenby reports). 1.7p - 3.4p BEFORE any deals. We've had a deal. What's it worth now?

If the diagram was done in March then the chances are that it was before Oxilio decided to take up the license. They might not have known that an upfront was likely at that point. That is assuming that the upfront was important enough to help them get a fair way through phase 1 on their own before needing to call for more cash.

I just thought it odd that you wouldn't emphasize BD activity on your lead asset when you do on the others (especially if it needs to be out-licensed in order for you to be able to realistically make progress towards phase 2).

Page 15 shows a development plan for NXP002 all the way upto phase 2. Have they decided to progress it themselves now that they have the upfront from Oxilio? Is that why there is BD activity at the pipeline diagram (which appears to be from the same document)?

No similar diagrams for NXP001 or NXP004.

Interesting pipeline diagram though. I notice NXP001 and NXP004 both end with the triggering of BD activity. Not so for NXP002 and it looks like it has entered phase 1. I thought they were making it phase 1 ready with a view to triggering BD. Why has the BD disappeared?

Further indication that something might already be lined up?

I had a quick look at one of the products for renal cancer : Votrient (aka Pazopanib). There are a number of patents listed at the following address which appear to expire on dates between the end of this year and 2023:

The only thing that doesn't match is that the 2020 revenue is only 650m USD.

Tafinlar, on the other hand, brought in 1.5bn USD. but I think the patent runs until 2030.

It seems a likely candidate given the details that you mentioned, particularly the patent expiry.

She could have been brought in by Blackwell specifically for those links, I suppose. But did anyone else have links to AZ at the time? What made them select it?

It looks like CB and AB both shared time at GSK too. I think GSK sold a their oncology portfolio to Novartis at some point after they both moved on. I have no idea if either of them had links the oncology side but I was just wondering if Blackwell might have had some involvement in helping them select the candidate for NXP004, based on existing knowledge about drugs he'd come across at GSK.

Is there a possibility it could be one of the old GSK drugs that now belongs to Novartis?

I can't see the price moving unless/until a deal is in place for NXP002 or NXP004. Not after the reaction we've seen post Oxilio.

If there isn't one already lined up then it could be a very long while before we see any kind of return on this. The board is small and (if no deal is in place yet) they will have to find a new CEO before anyone will be willing to talk. That could take months.

I'm just amazed that no one at all appears willing to take any kind of notifiable position, given these lows. You'd have thought someone out there would be willing to take a gamble at these prices. It does make you wonder what Allenby have been hired for.

As a long term holder who was already well under water by the time of the placing I have always had strong reservations about selling any of my shares just in case the tide suddenly turned and I missed the boat. That would be devastating! I thought there was always a serious risk, with the placing, that the market might respond quickly once it knew we had the money we needed, but I suppose that was just silly old fear.

Watching and whingeing about very 1% drop in the share price is probably a bit pointless but I understand that people are feeling frustrated and I personally respect their right to say what they feel. It's probably just as pointless watching and whingeing about every criticism from a frustrated poster. It will most probably persist while the price continues to drift and be walked down on no news and tiny volume. I would say that people best get used to it, ignore it or give up and move on...but that would be patronising.

Perhaps they did. Perhaps that's exactly why none of them seem too alarmed by the current sp and lack of reaction to the Oxilio deal....I can still dream.
