RE: Titanic9 Oct 2021 11:35
Yes, it has been a pretty raw ride since the end of 2019. Lots of directors have 'walked the plank' (to continue with your naval parlance). I have often asked myself if the BoD were running away because there was no longer any hope for the products.
I know I've said this before but things are very different now to how they were 2 years ago. Back then we had constant boasts about potential deals and even had a press leak just when the biggest fish was apparently about to land. Soon after, things seemed to go sour. Now we have complete silence to the extent where you wonder if anything is going on behind the scenes at all. We've even seen a muted response to the striking of a deal for NXP001 No fanfare, just a statement from the company to say "we now move focus back onto NXP002/NXP004".
So here we are, with a different set of people who have taken up the baton. Why would they bother if it was such a lost cause? Why hasn't it just gone under? Hands have been washed and there has been plenty of time to wind things up...but it hasn't happened.
Now I ask myself "Is it quiet because not much is doing or is it because they learned a painful lesson back in 2019?". If there was genuine big partner interest in NXP002 then did they walk away because of a press leak? Would they really scupper a deal worth hundreds of millions just because someone had a big mouth or did they, instead, force us to make drastic changes and put a bit more work in to proving that we were serious about doing business?
I would really love to know if all that Asian partner talk was BS or not. It shouldn't be too long now before we find out. If it was genuine then things might look a little different here once those results are in.
