The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Sorry Older, I posted before your message appeared.
If it has been such a problem then are there other small companies who are having to do the same thing? Anyone know of any specific examples?
Just when you start to hope that things might be stabilising, they go and do something else to shake nerves!
I'm assuming this is a manoeuvre resulting from a failure to appoint an auditor.
Any other theories?
He's probably not wrong. I worry that my children will never forgive me if I leave these shares to them in my will!
Tut, tut to LSE for cancelling the emoji but leaving the word 'shagging' in. There censorship team must be manned by youngsters who have never seen a carry-on film before :0)
Hi Thompi,
Just remember that it's not over until the fat lady sings. I doubt they'd be carrying on if there was no hope at all so maybe there is still a small chance that something could materialise or we could get bought out.
Something that unsettled me a little today is that I actually found myself in agreement with Whimax for once, regarding Mulder's announcement of his cessation of posting. The same thought did cross my mind.
I wouldn't try to gag anyone from a public bulletin board but I have to say I never understood Mulders motivation to post here.
Many of the regular posters have been around long enough to have suffered huge losses in the valuation of their holdings. I think it is reasonable for those people to feel disgruntled and vocal about that. The IP continues to be touted as offering huge potential and the only visible reasons for the catastrophic fall appears to be unexplained events in the boardroom which led to a mass exodus of key leading people and a failure to attract and retain anyone to replace them.
Why someone would rock up after the damage has been done, saying they've no interest in being invested, only to spend so much time criticising the equity? I don't know. It seems pointless to me. The price was already smashed.
The upshot though, is that it is not the postings of people like Mulder that have got the shareprice down to where it is today. If we were seeing visible signs of progress then things would be very different. We've been stuck in the doldrums for so long now that I think most long term investors would be tempted to head for the door at the first opportunity. If the IP does have any real value then I guess we have never been more vulnerable to having it stolen from us for a pittance.
I sincerely hope something good materialises soon to turn things around but if those that have invested money in Nuformix do ultimately lose out then it will be very interesting to see what happens to the IP from there.
We can't blame Lanstead for other investors not buying in.
If the people at Qureight are so aware of the potential of NXP004 with AZ then why haven't any of them bought in?
DG seems to be keen to acquire a stake/influence in small private companies such as Trx, Qureight & Oxilio. Don't you find it strange that none of their directors seem interested in getting a slice of what our plc has to offer?
