We cannot blame inflation on Putin, or higher food prices. This has been coming down the pipe for a year now. The FED knew it was coming, they refused to act (other countries follow the US trend) and increase interest rates very slowly last year. Instead they decide to slam on the anchors during a war and so send everything over the handlebars.
And THEY are the smart ones?
We could be at the same point we are today on interest rates and the economies and stock markets would not have been beaten back so badly.
Putin's little adventure did not help for sure, but he will get the pointy finger, 'cos our democratically 'elected' governments always shirk responsibility. How convenient.
