I just don't get ramping an sp, not sure what ramping does for a stock, certainly does not increase it. The sp is being manipulated, you are either in or out, win or lose. But shouting about it makes no difference.

woody2002, I have to agree with you, the overall global markets are tanking, the US took a major hit yesterday and we will feel that today in the European markets.
However, I really hope I am wrong!

mararab, I think you are right. I think we will hit a global recession this year, not next, things have spiralled out of control too quickly and pain will be felt. So pi's need to cut their losses and run or stay put for the next 18-24 months. As you say, this share as with others will rise... eventually.

Meanwhile the US markets have taken massive hits, APPL, TSLA Microsoft etc are down nearly 10%. That is something I have not seen.

I know oil is up, but back in 2014 oil was near $100 per barrel and the sp was double this. Yes probably debt has increased but...

The US market has tanked today too. Time to walk away from the stock market. Start selling meth or crack or whatever is the 'now' drug of choice, better profit margins too.

Looks like this will close at the same or lower than yesterday.
Maybe time to start trading this by buying before close and selling first thing on opening.

Hey b-b, the CDC can now only control pre-flight testing, they have nothing left. They are hanging onto dear life for this, it falls under the FED, so the FED government does what the CDC and Fauci dictate.
All pleas thus far have fallen on deaf ears. State governments have done away with in flight mask BS and also in the terminals. So the fed is smarting from that too.

Oil, this goes back to the 2008 global dump, the US recovered really quickly, the main reason is that they dumped all their bad debt onto European markets, then the recession happened within months. The European markets probably have still not recovered from that off loading of bad mortgage debts. Thank to the Us and their 'special relationship' with us.
If we go into recession again, European markets will take another decade to get back to where we are today.

Oil, the US market is self-sustaining. It does not need to travel internationally to make money. The whole of the US market can survive without the rest of the world, they are simply operated that way. As for airlines, international travel is a bonus, think about the vastness of the US, it can take you 6 hours to travel from one corner to the other by plane, even longer if you fly to Hawaii of US Virgin islands, they make the most of their income operating within the US borders.
We need them, they do not need us.
You must try to resist looking at the US market to compare, they just operate differently.
I know this does not make sense, none of it does.

bobbins, we are at least in sync regarding the sp and 'twitchyness'. The refreshments and biccies are another issue that I fail to see a resolution forthcoming ;-)

A bit late now! We will look back and see that letting people go for covid did not save money, it cost money, even more now that a recruiting and training situation has to occur, passengers losing faith, not bothering to fly, what a mess.
