The requirement to have a negative test within one full day of flight is what is putting people off. Imagine being fine but get tested and it's you cold shows up as positive and you happen to be a minor travelling with your family of four?
No one is going and most likely did not take out the extortionate insurance for just this event.
Risk of such a financial loss is too much.
We have flights booked to the US for the summer, but if they do not lift the testing we will cancel a week or two before, just not worth the grief.

I think a lot of flights are from carry over tickets from the last two years, new sales may not be that much compared to previous purchases being used now.
I know that is what my wife did twice, but I may be way off base on this.
The recovery is way off still and once the US CDC allows flights to resume without testing then it should pick up.
Testing is a pain in the backside, as they allow for '1 day' before flight, this could mean a lot of people not getting on a flight, especially with B1. B2. XE and the new GTi version so prevalent everyone could have it.

Hi bobbins, not sure if this sp will even hit 170 this year, so I am invested here, perhaps into 2024 depending on the way things are. Unfortunately I do not think we will see 200 this year, if it hold close to that by year end and no other BS comes on then will go over next year mid 200's. Although strong sales and demands for flights the last two years and this current BS in Ukraine will take it's financial toll on the travel industry as well as most everything else.
