Good lift today, but this is still only £3.5M MCAP, so nothing is really priced in. Some short termers will jump out, but it will be increasingly difficult to build a significant amount throughout the rest of the year, as KDR update the market on progress.

It's worth mentioning that the 10x uplift for pink diamonds used by the broker is conservative. The prices obviously fluctuate, but the Professor mentioned in his recent "Sunday Roast" podcast that pinks can go for 20x that of colourless diamonds.

I think the updated PEA from Lahtojoki will make great reading.

Let the news flow commence… This is fantastic news, good to see they are working on multiple fronts!

In my view this share suffers from 2 problems. Firstly, not many know about it, and secondly, a lot of the people that know about it, don't believe that anything meaningful will happen anytime soon.

What's interesting now in comparison to previous years, is that there does seem to be an effort from the company to start informing shareholders of their plans, which have now officially commenced. If people still want to ignore that, it's up to them, the few here will no doubt take advantage.

The cynics will likely cite fundraising as a motive, and there's no doubt these things require money, however there doesn't seem to be that need in the short to medium term having already raised.

Once we have proved that a diamond province exists in Kuhmo we can ask for a lot more money. For now, what's not to like about adding at 3p?

The Professor is delighted, and rightly so! The number of targets has increased considerably, and we have now commenced the planned exploration works. It will be interesting to see how frequent the updates will be throughout what will be a lengthy programme, with work on multiple fronts.

Some really good posts on here regarding Rio's manoeuvres in the last couple of years, and who is picking up the tab? There is very little in the previous few RNS about costs. Either way, the next 6 months or so could be company making for KDR.

That's the one Allan, and what are in those boulders to the south? After further testing, I think the updated PEA at Lahtojoki will make very good reading on what will already be a considerably profitable mine.

Diavik in Canada has 5 producing pipes, but from what the company are saying, we could be on track for more.

From the number and content of the posts over the last few days and weeks the enthusiasm is back in KDR. A share that 3 years ago was cryogenically frozen circa 6p by Covid has now been thawed out at 2 - 3p on the cusp of a targeted exploration programme in Kuhmo, not to mention the progress towards an operational mine in Lahtojoki.

After watching last year's Artic Star presentation where the CEO discussed the importance of a Kimberlite's magnetic signature, I wonder how many of the 23 highly ranked targets in Kuhmo are non-magnetic?

Other recent KDR presentations make numerous references to a Kuhmo diamond province. To me, KDR are in no doubt that they have secured access to this province, and hold all the cards. All they need to do is drill and confirm what they think they have. If this is similar to other world-class diamond provinces, it is likely to generate several billion £s over its lifetime. For a £2.5m company.

A KDR presentation from last year held by Shares investor evenings our Chairman stated "It's not just pure work you have to have luck as well, and we have been very lucky" (timed @16.30mins in if you're interested).

Most here have probably got quite a few shares (good work Hoops), but if you haven't, I would certainly be getting some before those results come in.

You could be right Toffeeman, but I don't think many here are dreaming about 4p. The most recent broker note is nearly 10 times that and doesn't take account of any potential upside of 23 targets in Kuhmo, NI, or extensions to Lahtojoki.

Yogi - thanks for posting the link to the Arctic Star presentation, a very interesting listen. You can see why they may be prioritising their Canadian deposit, but that may have nothing on Kuhmo once the results come back.

Having been in this for more time than I care to remember, I appreciate it's an easy share to knock. Developing a diamond mine (or diamond province) is slower than I initially assumed or hoped for too.

Whilst it may still be a while until the company and/or it's partners open an actual diamond mine, there has been recent significant progress with company entering a phase where it's value could increase significantly, and many multiples of today's MCAP.

The company has suggested JVs in recent comms with shareholders, but until any news is released we do not know entirely how these will funded. Dilution is always a possibility with any AIM company, and I wouldn't be surprised of further dilution here either. But to be in a share this cheap, with it's potential, is why I haven't sold up.

My initial question on this site surrounded timeframes, as this has always something that I have found hard to assess as diamond exploration isn't a quick process. But if by the end of the year (worst case) we have signed up to at least one JV, explored the 23 follow up locations in Kuhmo and evaluated their potential, and undertaken further investigation in NI, I will be very happy.

If a diamond province is emerging here owned wholly by a £2.5M MCAP company, I'm happy to add and hold. If it isn't then at least we are progressing towards at least one diamond mine which will have an obvious and positive impact on the MCAP. People can see through a ramps pretty easily, genuine excitement is very different.

I would expect a new broker note once the exploration works have been carried out and the results have been interpreted/modelled. There will also be a revised PEA. I’m hopeful of a decent uplift on the current broker note.

Listening to the comms, a JV with a junior miner looks likely for Lahtojoki who I presume will fund the further works noted this morning, so JV news in the next few weeks would seem likely to allow this to commence?

Whilst Lahtojoki could work miracles for our MCAP, Kuhmo is a bit more interesting. A programme of works exploring up to 23 kimberlite targets in the coming months with the expectation that a world-class find is a genuine possibility. Again, assuming a JV partner is likely, I wonder whether a major partner will be revealed, or whether the exploration work will be carried out in secrecy for the time being.

Either way, with sampling works in Northern Ireland also commencing shortly it's great to see that the company is starting to ramp up operations across multiple locations. The potential here is obvious.

Afternoon all, a long term KDR shareholder here. A really encouraging RNS this morning with KDR setting out the next steps on various fronts alongside the recent comms with the Professor, it is potentially transformative for a £2.5M company. Covid and the Land Survey process has given them plenty of time to discuss JVs for Lahtojoki and further exploration work in Kuhmo (with a major or two), so what are genuine expectations on timeframes?
