anomaly 5 - we’ve already found a green diamond, but what are the chances that we’ll find a diamond in the latest drilling? i’ve borrowed someone’s crumpled *** packet, so feel free to straighten it out as i haven’t used ai!
we intersected approx 12m of breccia in 2 of the drill holes on the outer edge of the pipe. assuming 300mm diameter core, and assumed rock density of 1 tonne per 0.5m3, we would have generated 0.84m3 of breccia weighing roughly 1.68t.
assume an average economic pipe could contain 40 carats per 100t (cpht), then our 1.68t could contain 0.672 carats of diamonds. this doesn’t take account any of diamond distribution within the pipe, or the fact that you need far less green diamonds than clear diamonds to make a pipe economical etc.
the point i’m trying to make is, the chances of us finding a diamond in the 12m of breccia are still slim, but what it would be good to see, is a whole load of those kims noted up ice from the last batch of sampling. a diamond would obviously be great, but we know already we’re on the right track for the motherlode.
we’re in the breccia of an olivine lamproite deposit, the company have already stated it.
