Following on from the 2 samples that returned excellent G9/G10/G10d KIMS back in April (A5-23-01 and A5-23-03), we have now sampled even closer to the electromagnetic anomaly which includes 6 geophys targets (as close as we can get due to it being located in a swamp area).

In theory, we want to see similar results to the 2 samples or better, which should be directing us to a specific area/s within the swamp, ready to drill in the winter. Samples took around 8/9 weeks to return last time, so hopefully something similar again.

I disagree that this is a waste of money, better to spend a couple of quid digging a hole, than a lot more on a less-informed drill. If we can further delineate specific areas, then the drill programme should be far more successful (and cheaper).

Yes Steve is uber confident, as his holding proves. But like him, I think KDR know exactly where the source of the green diamond is to be found. Hopefully more excellent KIM results in November/December, then drill for the big ones! 6 of them maybe...??

We clearly need to go and prove up what we think we have, but it’s pretty bold to be a guest speaker at an economic geology conference, if what have, isn’t economic. I’d say it bodes pretty well. Looking forward to hearing from KDR once the programme of works is signed off by the authorities.

Good to see Kevin McNulty spreading the good word on KDR's NI exploration at the annual conference of the Irish Association for Economic Geology, where he was a guest speaker. I can only assume he's found some economic geology worth talking about..?

Royalties and Compensation to Former Owners of Mineral Rights

27. Under the 1969 Act compensation becomes payable to ‘former mineral rights owners’ when minerals are

extracted. The Department collects royalties from mining companies based on the quantity of minerals mined,

and then pays compensation to the former owners of the mineral rights by apportioning the royalties less a

deduction for administrative costs.

Sounds like a great opportunity. There is a lot of info on BGS website too, so you can largely pinpoint where we are looking at the fault lines, micro gabbro dykes and bedrock geology. Not too much life around that area either, which is good to see. They also have the Tellus sediment info, all publicly available.

Exactly, experts want discoveries. I assume he would have reviewed the historic Tellus data, geological data and the initial sediment sampling info, and liked what he saw. I hope it was a fruitful trip Steve, did KDR state whether they would RNS any drilling?

KDR noted in the follow up podcast that there was more than one very large anomaly that would be followed up immediately. Hopefully they are putting those funds raised in July to good use as we speak...

As for NI, they were originally looking for diamonds. Is any exploration company going to ignore a potentially sizeable Ni-Cu-PGM deposit, geologically compared (by the world class expert) to the rift valley system's Eagle deposit in the US?

Lahtojoki - Stockbox interview

- "Once we have our mine boundaries" (which we now have) " we can begin to sit down with the technical people and the developers" Does this refer to a potential contractor, or does this refer to a potential JV partner already waiting in the wings?

- "we'll probably do some further drill holes or collection of diamonds ourselves". It seems very logical to further understand the % of coloured diamonds before progressing any discussions with 3rd parties (if that's how this proceeds). As he mentions, the financials are now greatly improved for coloured diamonds.

- The professor previously mentioned that pinks can be worth up to 20x colourless diamonds, he now mentions up to 60x.

The PEA is only going one way, and quite dramatically in my view. It's worth restating that the current PEA does not include any coloured diamonds. Good times ahead.

Johnnycash, you're right it's good to debate, the pros and the cons. All AIM shares have them, and most of the negativity on this share surrounds the length of time it takes to get anything done even though most are well aware that mineral exploration and diamonds in particular, is a slow process.

Following the 1st July raise (yes it was low), I would like some further clarity on how those funds will be used to progress the NI exploration work, which the Prof stated we were following up immediately. Hopefully once the NI DfE has signed off the proposed works they will be laid out for investors.

I'm also very keen to see how additional funds will be used at Kuhmo where we are "very close to the proximity" of the green diamond. When and what work is being done around the areas of A5-23-01 and A5-23-03 (which recovered material derived from the diamond stability field), to hone in on the source and prove it up.

Let's not mention those Lahtojoki boulders...! Salla, Liperi, Seitapera, Riihivaara, Jappila...

You're right 10bagger, let's give everyone a few million quid to keep them happy. Why wait for the Court to determine that the legal amount due is far far lower. I'm with you.

I'm not privy to the negotiations, but I would suggest there is a very simple answer for that. The fact KDR are progressing through the Court suggests that the companies valuation (probably based on along the lines of the National Land Survey's compensation costs) are probably completely out of sync with the landowners expectations, otherwise why wouldn't you settle out of court?

Maybe they looked at the PEA and thought "I could do with a few of those millions"? Multiply by X number total landowners... I would assume this route would be far more expensive than the Courts.

The 60 day appeal appears to be a standard part of their legal system. The Land Court have now concluded a decision on the boundaries twice now, so if the landowners did pursue this there is surely an ever-diminishing chance of this being determined in their favour. The 3 items being sent back to the National Land Survey for review, may alter the amount of compensation due to the two landowners, but we are nearly half way through finding out if they propose any changes.

We don't know the motivations of the remaining two landowners, however if the mining licence has already been granted and the boundaries have been set, I would be looking at this trying to get as much out of this as possible, and this appears to be where we are.

I would assume KDR have spoken to the landowners to see whether this is something that can be resolved out of court, and we didn't like what they were proposing financially? Therefore the only alternative is to go through the Land Court which may take longer but will likely turn out to be far cheaper.

In the meantime we are progressing on multiple fronts which make this company a very exciting prospect to buy into, so i don't intend to put my efforts into looking at the short term negatives, but each to their own we all have our own motivations and perspective.

Not much has been said about Mr. Naylor, who has accumulated over 9 million shares or 7.06% of the company at very decent levels whilst all this has played out. He doesn't seem to be put off by the prospect of Lahtojoki getting dragged through the Court system. I think he can see a much bigger picture forming.

Burgundy may be entirely irrevelant, however when the company has stated that we may JV on Lahtojoki, does it not interest you as to who that may or may not be? Very strange response, unless you are looking for an immediate exit I guess.

I would also disagree with your other comment, Kuhmo and NI are very important to KDR, and could have a remarkable impact on the SP and not just in the very distant future.

I’m as frustrated as the next person with the Finnish legal system, but the timing of your recent negativity (considering where we are with Lahtojoki) does seem very odd. The result will be full land possession, the only question is the compensation amount.

The Burgundy presentation also shows their current operations producing whites, yellows & oranges. I'm seeing a distinct lack of pinks, blues & greens from their existing mines.
