An eye-opening presentation from Burgundy there Steve. They are focusing on high value production (fancy-coloured stones, large and mega diamond production).

Not only have they stated they are assessing opportunities in Finland, the below is an interesting comment made in the presentation "3x exploration spend required NOW to meet demand"

With full land possession imminent at Lahtojoki and the Prof stating that some further testing and bulk sampling is being lined up, maybe Burgundy is a good fit if we are proceeding with others. He did mention we could do it ourselves, but wouldn't you if you're in negotiations?

Not to mention exploration/drilling targets in Kuhmo, but perhaps the "potential diamond province" is earmarked for another big producer... exciting times ahead here.

Re: NI - To adhere to their licence conditions with the NI department for the economy, they will have already notified them of the their proposed work programme for the following 2 years (from 01/10/24). So I am hoping that once the DfE have signed this off, they can notify us of what is planned.

Imagine if all of those 90,000 carats were in one lump... It's a shame the Prof doesn't release more detail on the Lahtojoki South and Lahtojoki South 2 licence areas where these boulders are located.

Along with getting a mining licence for Lahtojoki, Kuhmo and NI exploration, surely the exploration of these boulders is also a top priority, the figures are insane!! I cannot believe this has just been parked whilst we are busy doing other things.

Agreed Yogi, this is good news as the Court upheld the original decision on the boundary. KDR previously stated: "Finalisation of the mine boundaries is an essential step in relation to the Company's proposed development of the Lahtojoki diamond deposit".

KDR also said back in March 2023, "The owners of two landholdings have appealed the amount of compensation (and the boundary line in one case) but this does not affect the Company’s entitlement to land possession over the entire mining concession area. Formal registration of the mining concession will however be delayed until the boundary appeal is finalised".

The Court has now finalised the mine boundaries. It's slow, but it's progress.

Unimpressed with the discount of the recent placing, but it's the nature of AIM unfortunately. At least we've got a few euros to do some drilling to delineate some of these large Nickel/Copper/PGE targets that Dr Hulbert is excited about, which is being followed up immediately. That will attract genuine finance if it's the real deal that KDR and the independent expert believe it is.

Progressing these NI targets alongside locking down the source and scale of the green diamond in Kuhmo provide a lot to look forward to, and in the meantime, a mining licence at Lahtojoki in August wouldn't go amiss.

I'm not in the finance or natural resource industry, but perhaps they have advised KDR to prove up a shed load of world class deposits, and sell them for a shed load of cash. Perhaps they are speaking to companies about JVs. Perhaps they are arranging a shed load of finance to develop said assets. Time will tell.

A hugely positive, dare i say it, bullish podcast from the Professor discussing the latest news in Northern Ireland although I guess we shouldn't be surprised. We don't just have KDR geologists (employees) shouting from the rooftops, we have THE leading expert in the field of Ni/Cu/PGEs getting excited. Prof quotes on Northern Ireland...

"This could be a really major situation"

"There are several targets, but perhaps the most important thing is the potential size of the targets indicating the possibility of a large sized deposit"

At the end of the podcast the interviewers conclude that everyone is now looking to the Lahtojoki court hearing on 12th August, the Prof is very quick (almost annoyed!) that people think this is the Be All and End All, of KDR in Finland.

A series of comments are then made about Kuhmo, and it doesn't take a genius to work out that whilst they're keen to receive the Lahtojoki mining licence as it's worth many many millions to them, Kuhmo is expected to far exceed anything at Lahtojoki.

Over the years many people on here have dismissed KDR as a lifestyle company (happily ignoring all the Profs many past successes) as the various exploration programmes have trudged on, but i think this is far from the truth. In my opinion, this is quietly turning into quite a significant company.

Dr Hulbert's review also included the establishment of a comprehensive data base incorporating geology, geochemistry, geophysics, remote sensing, and base Geographic Information System (GIS) information including TELLUS data and gravity geophysical data.

Is this what's commonly called a data room? i.e. set up for other external parties to view? Just wondering.

So it doesn't look as if we might have a Copper/Nickel/PGE discovery, it's "obvious!" What isn't obvious is the scale of the discovery. The comparison with the Eagle deposit in the US are encouraging. If we have anything like this, well their gross profit for 2023 was over $100M...

You're wasting your time Hoops. I can only assume they hit the Après hard yesterday.

The facts are this. We will shortly have legal force to get a mine into production, which should produce a couple of million carats, with circa 7% coloured diamonds. If somebody can't see a significant financial upside from what is currently a 2.5MCAP company, (irrelevant of a 30% dip from ALL TIME HIGHS) then there's no helping them.

That's before we start talking about all the other potential deposits KDR have secured and are currently exploring, which could well end up being far bigger and more profitable than Lahtojoki.

To progress any of these projects, further funding will always be required. That's one certainty of junior exploration isn't it? How they go about doing that, we'll have to wait and see. But i agree, some further clarity on the next steps wouldn't go amiss. Perhaps the outcome of the Court hearing/boundary amendments affects the bulk sampling plans, who knows?

I don't think there is a shareholder who would disagree with that statement, but there is obviously a lot they won't/can't disclose for a multitude of reasons. To be fair, the latest podcast with Kevin did actually put a bit more substance into where the company is going and how. But regardless of the permit delay, and in my opinion, there is still a potentially transformational company here so the extra 3 months do not mean a massive amount to me (as frustrating as it is).

Hopefully at the end of it, we have full land possession and a permit to mine a truck-load of diamonds. Then we are a far more interesting company, to other potential shareholders, and companies who may want a foothold in a pretty lucrative business.

From where I'm sat, the compensation rates due to landowners look pretty favorable to any company willing to go down this road. Negotiating outside of this process would mean being held to ransom, and no doubt the compensation would look remarkably different, so it's not necessarily a bad thing for shareholders. It's just the time taken...!

Whilst we await the Land Court judgement I'm sure we're all hoping that KDR are lining up the bulk sampling/processing and whatever funding mechanism is being utilised, so we can hit the ground running.

For a start, It would be good if they could provide updates on the other areas of work in the meantime which they allude to in the latest RNS. For example, it's been 7 months since we had an exploration update from NI...

12th October 2023 - ...The Company is planning a follow up programme focused on the highly anomalous river catchment area, together with some additional microprobe analysis, with a view to identifying one or more drilling targets...

You could be right Yogi, as they could do with a few other colours to complement their existing inventory.

It will be interesting to see whether Rio come back to the table or not though. I appreciate this mine isn't type of scale that they would normally get out of bed for, but if it puts them in the driving seat for further projects, who knows? Maybe we'll even see the old agreement come back from the dead...?

Good interview, I think Kevin should be involved more often as he is able to discuss in more detail.

Still begs the question though... who's paying for the bulk sampling and the lifting of 2,000 carats to progress Lahtojoki. Hopefully not too long after the 30 day period elapses, post Court Hearing... KDR, RIO, A-N-Other?
