£75m -tax in cash
State of the art run facility- £10m
Loss making Sensing Applications business earning £2.9m revenue in the development phase.
IP - QLED display IP probably just about worthless, but there's QNED related IP, obviously sensing and still lots more for other applications.
Overall, I think a valuation of £85 - £100m is about right for now and I think I'm being Conservative.
Obviously if the tax bill is massive or STM walk away that will be revised downwards.

This would be a mad investment for any sensible investor.
You have £1.2m fair enough, but that will go into the cash shell and the shares will be cancelled.
So in effect, your shares are only valuable due to the perception that something could change between now and 24th March 2023, which it almost certainly won't or the vote gets rejected.

I'm not sure a payout of 10% of the value of Samsung's would have 10% of the legal costs though. It could be more and end up yielding nothing at all or worse. even costing Nanoco. It would be stupid to pursue this now.
In terms of the Value of IP, I think Nanoco's entire display division and portfolio would sell for virtually nothing.
It would be interesting to see what value Apple or STM would place on the sensing IP/business.

Exactly BC! The historic communications between Samsung and Nanoco make the final settlement all the more ridiculous. Their admission of insufficient knowledge is so obvious. It was definitely willful infringement that should have awarded Nanoco hundreds of millions at least after all costs, but realistically billions for global coverage.
The fact that BT is talking about pursuing other parties for a comparative pittance shows how he and the company lack any clear direction.
Like others, I was hoping Nanoco would pull a sensing rabbit out of the hat to compensate for the litigation failure.
It seems that yet again, there is nothing but jam tomorrow.
Nanoco seems slightly oversold at this point, but also dead.
I vote they should sell up for probably £85 - £100m and put us all out of our misery.

This appears to be due to the cornerstone acquisition shares diluting existing holders, not that they're selling.
There's no reduction in the number of shares for these holders.

You're ignoring the credit affordability crisis caused by high interest rates as Britain attempts to tackle magic money tree fuelled inflation.
The reason prices will fall is people won't be able to afford anywhere near the level of repayments.
Currently mortgages are taken at 4.5x income, this could drop to 2.5-3, so if you're earning 40k and could previously borrow 180k you might now only be able to afford 100-120k at 4-6%.
The misconception is that house prices are fuelled by demand and won't fall. The truth is demand is supported by money supply and when money supply tightens prices fall as they did in 1990 and 2008.

Edison gave the $200m-$250m estimate for loss of royalties. Not meaning to cover old ground, the point is we know Samsung were by far the biggest offender and we ended up with $90m with $85m from ip sale. So I can't get excited about future litigation.
I previously did get excited about the potential pursuit of Hansol or possibly Nanosys. Not any more, that bubble has burst.

I hear you, however if the lawsuit with a known infringement value of $14bn just for US representing a third of total global sales, yields $150m/$90m retained, what would be the point in pursuing anybody else? There are probably a few parties as we speculated on here before, but they're all a fraction of the value of Samsung. We might retain a Brian Tenner and give a fiver to the funder. What a waste of time that would be!

The 5% house price growth reflected in these results and statements on that subject are slightly misleading because much of that occurred before the true squeeze kicked in. Now we're looking at a 8%+ squeeze in house prices over the next year with ever shrinking margins for builders. The NAV of 1100p should be discounted for this consideration.
It's time to get out before this really takes a nasty turn in my opinion.
The housing boom is over and the clowns will blame Russia or stupider still, Putin himself for the inevitable consequence of reckless lending and lack of monetary discipline. Not to mention the magic money tree QE that pumped £800bn in the economy during the corona nonsense plandemic.
