I'm very optimistic with £50-£80m and expect to be disappointed.

This is a very boring high risk gamble that relies on an unlikely retained settlement of £100m+ to justify the current share price.

In my 'trolling' capacity, I believe Gigawitt's summary to be 100% factually correct:
"lower end settlement less a material compromise, legal fees of at least 50% and loan repayments."
I was previously regarded as overly optimistic myself.

That would push the share price to £1+, but it would be odd given the statements made by BT.

Nobody has given a plausible valuation of the rest of the business.
Nobody can sensibly explain why they think a settlement of more than £50m is realistic.
Gigawitt doesn't share my views, but I have to say his analysis of the likely outcome here is the most valuable. We also had a previously valuable poster here, who became very pessimistic after an objective critique of the recent updates.
The problem has been the echo chamber optimists spouting hysterical nonsense.

I still think a £36m valuation on a loss making business turning over £2.9m is lofty.
£15m is more realistic looking at industry Averages.
£15m + £50m settlement would value the business at £65m or 20.19p per share.

$200m is the lower estimate for a court settlement. Approximately £160m out of that heavy discount for an early settlement, loan repayment and legal costs.
I have optimistically predicted that Nanoco will retain £50m, but this is a very expensive process and something like £10-£30m might be more realistic.
Look at the market cap, attempt to value the rest of the business, factor in likely settlement value and you'll realise the market is currently expecting £80m+. Anything less with crash the share price.
