I had some mining shares where the company had its assets in Sweden, it was a British based company, listed on AIM but it was also traded on a Swedish exchange. It made no difference to my holding but simply facilitated Swedish investors ability to trade on their exchange. Share rises over there tended to be mirrored by similar movements there.
However I am not an expert either. My view is it broadened the ease of trading, where you may have a significant investor base elsewhere.
