"BT is losing market share, fleccy I would be last person to advise you,but l am selling my 6 figure bt shares"
Well Bob, it's your money and your choice. We're keeping our six figure BT investment in play, irrespective of the results, I've always seen BT as a long term investment. As I've said on many occasions, BT should achieve massive cost savings due to FTTP/5G Capex reduction, Exchange closures/PSTN switch off, staff reductions and convergence. BT consumes around 1% of the UK's total electricity consumption, around 2TWh annually, but that'll reduce hugely with Passive Optical Networks (FTTP) and a more efficient core network. I don't read much in the media about BT's potential to cut costs and increase efficiencies, but I've been banging on about it for years. Reductions in market share due to regulation have been obvious for years, anyone who follows BT should know that. Incidentally we have a 6 figure investment in Vodafone too, so I'm not saying any of this as a put down of Vodafone, since I also view Vodafone as being cheap as chips too.
I'm looking forward to the nice chunky BT dividend in September Bob, will you?
