It depends on your investing time horizon, whether you like the 5.3% dividend yield, and whether you consider Vodafone to be undervalued. In my opinion Vodafone is undervalued and at some point the stock will have to appreciate to realise fair value, I have no idea when that might happen though, in the meantime we'll just keep collecting the dividends.
Rolls Royce was under 39p in October 2020, look at it now, up over 2000% since then. The market seems to value companies more on narratives than valuations these days, it makes little sense to me how RR went up 2000% after massively increasing the number of shares in issue, especially since manufacturing carries higher geopolitical risk than service providers. If and when the market elite decide to rerate telecom sector stocks, I expect Vodafone will see big gains.
