The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Agree. Should have never agreed to the extension and more studies. No turning back now. As VT describes, massive construction underway. A decision from Woodside required right now.
It’s nice to see the Timor media( albeit a small one) finally catching up with Chuditch. Hopefully the start of a lot more attention.
As per the last report of 29 February 2024, the petroleum fund's value is 18.2 billion. If the package fiscal comes out in April to finance the OJE, it means the Petroleum Fund will have a balance of 16.3 billion for the next five years. Any mining projects that start now will take time, and it will take at least seven years to explore and another two to three years to develop a new field. Timor Resources' exploration in Suai and Manufahi is already advanced, and we hope that the field in Suai can be developed soon. But as experts have said, it is challenging to discover a big oil field like an "elephant" in a dry country like Timor-Leste, but we are still hopeful. We are also waiting for the Chuditch gas exploration in the sea, which will start soon. We hope it can provide revenue for Timor-Leste. We need to be careful about environmental preservation while exploring minerals on land. We all wait for KADORAS

That article was written by long time Timor campaigner and ex Senator for Western Australia , Rex Patrick. Australia and Woodside’s behaviour disgraceful in the past. These latest allegations are over TL media. Might prompt a response from the TL government. Trust is everything.
Former submariner Rex Patrick has found time to stick a periscope up the collective clacker of the Australian government over its cruel treatment of its poorest neighbour. Senator Patrick’s battle with the bureaucracy reveals Australia’s problem with transparency.

Very interesting article. Woodside and Australia appear to be untrustworthy and duplicitous partners. Maybe TL should just move on as best they can. Then again. We haven’t heard officially anything.
VT, watch the interview. Strong charismatic leader who cares deeply about his people.
“ relative valuations” Is that a joke about your uncle? Tut tut.
I was aware of the presidential visit. Clearly China will assist in the petrochemical infrastructure plus many other civil projects. Building closer ties with TL which USA and Australia won’t like. Horta putting his people first. Inpex want a slice of the South Coast development too. Great news for future gas projects like Chuditch. Just need that deal signed and its lift off. Sundagas are in a beautiful position to benefit from this incoming transformation of the TL economy.
More details on the visit. Nothing much on energy so far.

Well worth a listen.
9:14 on Greater Sunrise. No doubt in his mind.

He’s there three days. I fully expect to hear more regarding possible investment. The elephant in the room is Greater Sunrise.
On April 4, 2024, Wang Yi, a senior Chinese official, held talks with Timor-Leste's Foreign Minister Bendito in Guangxi, discussing the strengthening of the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership.
Key points from the talks include:
1. Historical Ties : China was the first country to recognize Timor-Leste's independence and establish diplomatic relations with it. Since then, bilateral relations and friendship have significantly progressed.
2. Comprehensive Strategic Partnership : The relationship was elevated to a comprehensive strategic partnership in September, signifying a historic leap. Both nations aim to continue mutual trust and win-win cooperation.
3. Development Support: China pledges to remain a reliable friend to Timor-Leste, supporting its development path and greater international and regional involvement. Efforts will focus on industrial revitalization, infrastructure, food self-sufficiency, and improving livelihoods, aligning with the Belt and Road Initiative.
4. Agricultural and Infrastructure Cooperation: China proposes forming an agricultural cooperation working group and engaging in Timor-Leste's infrastructure development, expanding personnel exchanges, and enhancing cultural, educational, and vocational cooperation.
5. ASEAN Membership and Global Initiatives: China supports Timor-Leste's early ASEAN membership and offers assistance through the Global Development Initiative.
6. Mutual Support and Cooperation Enhancement: Timor-Leste appreciates China's support for its independence and development and commits to the one-China principle, looking forward to enhancing cooperation in various sectors and advancing their comprehensive strategic partnership.

Agree. Decision on Greater Sunrise is imminent. Maybe weeks away. Hugely important for us.
A decision on a joint partnership on Chuditch is imminent. Maybe weeks away. Both decisions possibly connected.
Share price doesn’t reflect the reality on the ground.
Going to change soon.
I would be getting very excited about INPEX clearly about to increase their presence in TL oil and gas. Sending a high level delegation to the country (again) with plans to open a permanent office.
Chuditch can’t have escaped their notice. Expect future announcements from INPEX.

Bendito dos Santos Freitas’s visit was at the invitation of Wang Yi. Previously, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said China hopes the visit will help the bilateral relations achieve more pragmatic progress.

The day it goes Kaboom. Probably all that really matters.
Thanks for the mention. Love your own inclusion. Only you could get away with that 😁 Pretty useless at the moment. Really surprising. Plenty going on here. Very encouraged with new management.
Some juicy looking trades coming in. Could we see some upward trajectory today?
Meadow, I would take another listen to Andy Butler’s Directors Talk interview. Highly confident of a drill and very positive on a farm in deal. I don’t think he would mislead or put a spin on events. Assembling a drilling team, progressing on permits and rig hire and focussed on a drilling operation.
VT, morning. As you point out, there hasn’t been a word on the metinaro study since last June. It’s due now but it could be delayed. We will know once it’s announced. Can’t be far off. I’ve only ever seen the developments plans as relating to Greater Sunrise piped gas plus any additional feeder fields like Chuditch. Your theory of a Chuditch focussed element would be fantastic. A word or two from APM would be useful.
