Almost certain that Sunda will bid for one of these blocks. If possible and with success at Chuditch, AB will grow this company into a significant player in the S.E. Asian energy market. If you’ve got the stomach for the ride, this could be quite an investment.

KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 11): (PETRONAS) has launched the Malaysia Bid Round 2026 (MBR 2026), offering nine exploration blocks and six discovered resource opportunities (DROs) as it seeks to strengthen Malaysia’s position as a leading upstream investment.

I can’t see how anyone reading this update doesn’t come away feeling re-energised and excited about the company going forward. Plenty of risk, there always is. But lots to look forward too and a CEO who puts his money where is mouth is. Sitting still for too long. Now activity and ambition and if things play out the right away, real share price growth. Thumbs up from me.

Well said, Betting on Butler. That’s exactly how I feel and will happily accept a better late than never ending with this share. I fully admire the TL leadership in standing up to Australia and claiming what is rightly theirs. Sunda’s problems and delays belong to Sunda and Sunda alone. I believe AB is doing his best and I, maybe rather foolishly think he will get this over the line. We will find out soon. Wild speculation is ti be expected given the wait but gets us nowhere. Bring on that update.

In a January 30, 2026 interview, Timor-Leste's Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Francisco da Costa Monteiro, highlighted the Chuditch gas field as critical for the nation's energy future and economic development. He indicated that the Chuditch-2 appraisal well is scheduled for the first half of 2026, with plans to integrate the field with existing infrastructure and potentially connect it to a future LNG plant as part of the Tasi Mane Project. A deal on Greater Sunrise gives the green light for the construction of a pipeline from the GS fields to planned gas processing facilities located on the TL south coast. Any gas from Chuditch will be moved via this pipeline and processed on the south coast. It’s looking almost certain now that the Woodside consortium and Timor Gap will agree on this and work can begin. Chuditch gas will have a certain future and the field is more attractive to outside investors.

However. We’ve known about this for months now and it’s had zero effect on the share price and as yet no news on a funding partnership. The share price needs a money solution to drilling accompanied by rig and permit to drill. After last year’s debacle and with time running out, there is real concerns surrounding the drill. Could all change in an instant. The backdrop to any drill now looks better than ever with GS and ASEAN membership but Sunda has to come up with the goods to make it happen.

His interview was speaking in general terms on the seismic analysis. An email discussing how this high quality data could be used for an early farmout of the blocks in my opinion goes beyond that. I speak to AB. I can ask him these questions. We can on very well.

No. Plus, I thought he was deep in negotiations for quite a few months now. Not sure where he mentioned he had only started serious discussions at the end of November. Important information, I appear to have missed. Very important in the context of securing funding.

I won’t ask him about the quality of the data because that’s price sensitive information as is consideration of an incredibly early farmout only months into the licence award. I did ask him about you though.

Just to repeat what AB and the CEO of Triangle Energy have already stated. The Sulu Philippines project is a deep water long term affair. First two years will be given over to seismic studies alone. Triangle have already issued more shares to fund this work. Anyone with even the faintest interest in Sunda Energy would know this.

Like everyone else, I’m waiting and watching. You’re likely to get decapitated on here if you express optimism. Delays don’t bother me if AB lands a funding deal. I hold. I haven’t written it off. Quite the contrary. Anxiety is mixed with excitement. The company has every chance of a successful 2026 based on what we already know and the breakthrough on Greater Sunrise.

Timor-Leste is entering a new era of offshore exploration with TIMOR GAP’s Offshore Block, one of the country’s most promising deep-water frontiers. In this interview, Mateus da Costa, Managing Director of TIMOR GAP Offshore Block, discusses the technical breakthroughs.

Q2. How are you addressing the infrastructure and market access challenges of offshore development to ensure timely commercialization once discoveries are made?

A: With the absence of the existing infrastructures, currently the TGOB has carried out a pre-exploration drilling alternative development concept through a third party desktop studies, by assessing the possibility of several different development scenarios including tapping into the future Sunrise-Troubadour pipelines through a share facilities economic model, and or establishing a standalone offshore floating productions facilities in at a nearby shallow water area within either the northern or the southern area. The team will also look at the third alternative of having an offshore floating productions facility with the gas to be shared pipelines in with existing pipeline facilities. It is expected that outcome this study would provide a much better insight of how this project are to be

developed upon successful.

I’m pretty sure Andy stated in a proactive interview going back months he was engaged in discussions with third parties. I’m hoping for a conclusion not a beginning and the drill timetable isn’t that faraway so I would expect progress on all fronts.

I agree Shiny. Doesn’t add up. I don’t detect share price manipulation. Seems very low key type postings which feel authentic. I’ll leave it at that.

I don’t know. I also have no idea at what stage any discussions are at. How could I ? That’s confidential. I’m just an ordinary shareholder waiting for the company to release an update. Totally in the dark.

The constant leak of confidential, price-sensitive information from a listed company to a private shareholder creates significant legal and regulatory issues, primarily market abuse, insider dealing, and breaches of confidentiality. The consequences for both the individual and the company can be severe, including criminal charges, substantial fines, and imprisonment.

A lot of questions there and at this point it’s hope and hang on. A shareholder friendly deal seems constantly to elude us and yet it’s still a possibility. I’m prepared for another kicking but my strategic investment decision making based on wishful thinking is still intact.

Very good point. It’s a pity Horta sees onshore oil and gas ( Finder 2027) as an interim revenue provider before the infrastructure development required is in place. TL gearing up to become an oil and gas economy in a strategic location with ASEAN membership in place. The Chuditch field a central part of this future. An attractive partner and secure financial backing the missing link for Sunda Energy and shareholders. Never be a better opportunity for AB to close a deal with the current shift in sentiment.
