No doubt OGA and Dr T being pedantic about getting a thorough data-set from drilling the new site! hope they get both in on same drill. remember the previous well had already had a vertical exploration drill done, so with that one they could go straight in and do the crestal. Nice as it would be to think we know enough already just to go ahead with a crestal it's likely we'll have a long drill this time a OGA probably very fussy

another question: the next well was 'Warwick Crestal' which is now 'Warwick West', does the name change imply that they have to drill a vertical 'exploration' shaft to establish they geological identifiers such as water contact and depth of production zone etc, before the 'crestal' bit they already expect to do and (in future) produce from?

I believe September is the month when refineries do maintenance so there is usually an oversupply of oil stock put aside to cover it, so it won't really show until later when that supply is used up

current broker targets @100p should get revised upward on LC success so viewing our current valuation objective on well success as somewhere between current (undervalued) sp and 100p is wrong as it should be between current sp and new broker target....which just makes current sp look even sillier. Proving up oilfield on the Warwick side of Brynhild fault has got to be worth at least another 50p minimum?

Fugro Venturer says work in blocks 204 and 205 (that appears to be current LC and WC, next well, getting seabed survey re. potential tie back. possibly cost saving to do survey for both at same time and/ could show HUR confidence next crestal well going on what's been seen in current one? my thoughts - one more tie to AM ok but two probably too much oil for AM to handle but could use AM to assess flows from the wells? just thinking out loud correct me if wrong

to note that slumping pound has no effect whatsoever on sp while our earnings are in dollars the currency movements seem never to be factored in by investors, while oil price variation (however choppy in nature) freaks people out every time! just an observation ;-)

another theory for stopping when they did could be well control safety which would be increasingly difficult to control in a high mud loss situation over an extended area? seems astonishing porosity in well. agree limiting time in contact with mud is good idea under the circumstances and length of drill should not matter much
