well said Biffa....was just going to say that wells are started up slowly and carefully to get all the drilling mess out of the pores/well-bore first, and flow rate gets cranked up as they go on extracting oil - last thing they'd do is full rate production first thing as it could cause areas of production zone block up

and many a silly one too ;-)) ....keep up the mayhem while we wait!

production rates from the two wells may differ in viscosity, temperature, rate of flow/size of valves....there are lots of variables and they may have shut in one well while producing from the other.... so as we don't know we can't be sure or even accurately guess

Maybe just one - the bits on PMO's acreage they recently ran seismic over? suppose they were just making sure it was far enough at the edge to be not worth drilling into as the last thing they want is someone else with a 'straw in their milkshake'

the only clue that could be indicating size of discovery prior to testing would be communication between wells.....nothing to say anyone actually leaked that! it could all be made up anyway....but we do enjoy a good rumour

they had not yet so far seen what they are after they would not still be drilling IMO

Wondering if something to do with explosive charges for well completion? thinking ..don't want them stored on the rig for long, in Aberdeen port or on-board helicopter....so by road to Scrabster for shortest journey by ship???? any other theories?

the important thing about this well test will be the pressure gauge readings that will be observed from LC well (wells 'talking' to one another)......to confirm 'giant oilfield' on Warwick side of Brynhild fault....resource upgrade potential
