on 'marinetraffic'.....shows what looks like pipeline routes surveyed by Geo Ocean III and Fugro Venturer did the adjacent infill area immediately south of Sloan next to Geo Ocean's 'straight line' areas. think Fugro now finished / maybe bunkering?....(yes I'm in danger of being converted to a 'shipwatcher'!)

would it not be a good location for a gas offtake pipeline and associated infrastructure? with PMO's dud wells, decommissioning tax break, a nice solid platform in the sea WOS? Spirit might be interested?...….can shipwatchers check if movements of Fugro Venturer relate to scoping out the routes for gas pipeline...…......or whatever else FV might be doing

thanks for that.....now that you have mentioned it, I remembered that in November the UK government will introduce legislation allowing duff overspent north sea companies to transfer their losses, liabilities and tax concessions associated therewith to new owners when acquisitions occur - which could lead to mergers and buyouts! ....Solan could be a great acquisition for HUR along with it's infrastructure?

let' keep an eye on the Fugro Venturer to see what it's up to now. Why is it still out there at the Solan at present? I thought it had already completed the subsea pipeline surveys a few weeks ago......is it onto another possible hook-up? reason I'm interested.....could DR T think WD could still be made to flow? (only a theory at present)

Thanks DiveCentre, looks very good idea and from article seems on the cards for a long time. Did see on ADFN discussions about survey happening. Does anyone know about the flaring and spare capacity of the platform? If tied in there could it be done fairly quickly with less fuss than AM upgrade?
