On individual stocks is I'm hopeless at timing the short
side.
Often I find your view can be validated but price action occurs
later, or much later than expected.
The classic example on LSE listed stocks was Carpetright,
back in the day. For years that levitated destroying those short.
Price action in CPR ultimately validated the shorts rational,
but years later than expected.
Ocado must have cost many shorter dearly, at least to this point.
If I'm long a stock, personally I much prefer to hear the other side
or alternative views.
Otherwise it's an echo chamber of agreement, which can be less useful.
