but as soon as I read the 2021 guidance I sold, buying back a very
small amount as mentioned.

I am well aware that any post on here makes about as

much difference to the SP as a fart in a hurricane.

However, no other poster on here has highlighted the recent drug failures
or indeed wider pharma press comment on GSK.

I would guess less than 5% of those who post here read the conference
call transcript.

I also highlighted several times the risk of a dividend rebasing
post split being mentioned at these results, which happened.

The vaccine and consumer healthcare division look strong,
the challenge imv is on the pharma side.

You can make a case that is allowed for in the current price.

In any case, good fortune with your GSK holding.

I appreciate in the past e commerce has been referenced

as a longer term threat to brands, however looking at their

online sales growing like a weed, I think that argument may now be mute.

On valuation grounds it's now on an approx 20% discount to close peer group.

I've have been posting on LSE for years, it takes all of of two seconds to check,

never have I suggested going short a stock.

I give very occasional strong buy recs, as per ABF last year.

I'm long AZN atm (small position) but I will not click Buy due to
possible COVID disruption. Even when long a particular stock
I usually give potential downsides.

In the case of AZN, there may be lower oncology referrals in some
regions with COVID-19 disruption to healthcare systems.

On GSK I cautioned last week about a potential dividend rebase post
split and was told by a number of posters that was ... just negativity.

Guided for reduced 2021 free cash flow - Fact.

£1 Billion of divestments boosted FY 2020 cash flow - Fact.

They can't provide 2022 guidance - Fact.

That great progress and great year is mentioned multiple times - Fact.

That the market questions whether the outlook is so great...?

Now if you can find it try reading the transcript and then comment.

Will they need to reduce today's reduced 2021 guidance ?.

To be fair you could make a case more bad news may be
in the price at somewhere near current levels.

That is my very polite reaction to the conference call,

as this is a public forum.

What I thought is far, far less polite.

Read the transcript, including the Q&A.

First point on free cash flow - this was boosted by £1 Billion worth of
divestment proceeds And GSK guide lower on 2021 free cash flow.

Their lower EPS guidance for 2021 (and this really takes the biscuit)
appears to be predicated on ...healthcare systems in developed markets returning to
near normality in H2 2021.

They can't provide 2022 guidance, yet AZN has recently outlined a longer
term guideline on EPS for the next 4 years!.

I've never heard the word 'great' used so frequently... 'great progress' mentioned more
times than most people could count. Great year, everything is great.

Except it's not really is it, great that is.

And the market sees right through the spin - all IMV only as always, please DYOR.
