In terms of the UK equity markets, I'm finding decent
risk/reward more challenging to see following so many
super charged re-ratings, particularly in cyclicals.

Although not at all confident calling a low on Unilever,
much below £37 would surprise me - barring adverse company news.

AZN appears to have finally detached from the vaccine news,
which is good to see.

They announced a trial failure in head and neck cancer
this morning, although the particular oncology drug has
other applications.

Cases of head and neck cancer are rapidly rising in the UK,
all be it from a low base.

I had the Guardisal vaccine (HPV) which may reduce the
risk of developing this form of cancer. As an ex smoker
thought it wise.

I paid for the Pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV13)
in early March.

Gavin is my first name, but fp is fine.

The username was a flippant comment
and thought I could change it, however it appears I'm stuck

battle, yes indeed. I thought it may be of interest, hence the post

From a UK perspective let's hope the Kent variant remains the
dominant strain; if not many more lives may be lost.

be offered an updated AZN vaccine (availability and efficacy dependent)
come autumn, or another booster vaccine.

Most concerning on the data over the weekend is
indication of COVID-19 reinfection with the new SA variant.
Some of those on the trial had recovered from
infection with earlier strains.

I Could die this week, but I don't expect that to happen.

In terms of why the post results decline, there are numerous
articles online discussing that, some of which have been linked
on this bb if you read recent posts.

Unilever has experienced SP declines previously
on results/trading update disappointments which
have represented nice buying opportunities - however
there is no guarantee this will be a repeat.

It looks reasonable risk/reward to me, but I'm far less confident
in calling a SP low area. All IMV only as always. Best of luck.

The unwarranted Covid-19 vaccine bounce is now out
of the SP, however it may still be hit by weekend news
of reduced effectiveness against mild and moderate cases of
the SA variant in preliminary data.

I hold AZN and added before Friday's close.

The Oxford/AZN vaccine has no bearing on my decision to hold AZN.

The 2020 parabolic vaccine related spike in the AZN was both dangerous

and unwarranted. Or perhaps you have difficulty understanding what a

not for profit vaccine means to the P&L - Zero.

Post pandemic if regular boosters are necessitated there may

potentially be some return, but given the size of AZN and the multiple

vaccine options available, I would expect that to be a negible contribution.

Reporting the Oxford/AZN vaccine has failed to prevent moderate as well
as mild infections of the South African - the data on severe infections and
hospitalisation awaited.

At this point this is preliminary data on a small sample size.

It's well in to 10's of £ millions and that's just the LSE,
there is also NYSE volume.

Yes there may be some deluded souls who think
thay can impact a £60 bn market cap by posting on
