cases now quickly rising again in India, Brazil beyond catastrophic.

And the excuses and reasons from the anti vaxers keep on coming.

Just dreadful, even allowing for lack of understanding and probably
lack of education.

I have to admit thinking either they have little understanding of risk,

or perhaps they are very foolish.

There will be certain circumstances where risk/reward is less favourable-
the severly immunocompromised demographic etc.

Anyone like to take a guess...

Between 30-50 years of age now.

That's not just hospital cases, it's severe ICU cases.

It's the 10-15% of severe cases which have caused the problems,
clogging up hospital beds, sucking up vast time and resources.

A severe case is what you want to avoid; if vaccines prevent even getting
infected full stop, that is the cherry on top.

Prevention may be important for Long COVID.

The AZN vaccine, look at the UK covid patients in hospital data.

Compare that with France, with their abysmal current rate of vaccination.

France with approx 5 X the UK number of COVID-19 patients in hospital currently.

Given AstraZeneca’s huge contribution to the UK's

vaccination programme, hopefully they can develop

a seasonal influenza vaccine and be awarded the annual UK contract.

I really think they deserve this.
