multiple financial sites.

OK a broker has reiterated that view today, but AZN
set this out in detail on the Alexion acquisition conference call
last year, giving preliminary EPS growth rates right out to 2024/5.

It's not a commercial vaccine at this point in time.
By 2022 there may be 15 plus vaccine options.
Margins likely to be thin on any commercial agreements.

Moderna a completely different proposition; a previously loss making
company that sought to make an 'immediate' commercial return,
which they have every right to do.

AZN, if consensus is even anywhere close to being accurate,
are not their way be making well over $10 bn in pre tax within 2 years.

If the Alexion deal completes, then significantly more than that.

Any commercial return from Covid-19 likely to be marginal in that context.

I would ascribe 0 commercial value to the Covid-19 vaccine,
at least in terms of AZN. If they make some marginal return
from this next year onwards, then would view that as an
absolute bonus, however in the grand scheme of AZN
it may be marginal, at best.

AZN is an oncology play and if the Alexion acquisition completes,
a rare disease specialist. There is also the much smaller respiratory
franchise etc.

Lovely opportunity to go long yesterday.

Market was ignoring the vaccine news, very plain to see.

And there is No vaccine value in the current AZN share price.
