Infrastructure on a massive and worldwide scale is needed (not least to rebuild Ukraine). All of this requires minerals and rare earth metals .. it is beyond crazy the miners that actually produce the stuff are so out of fashion !

We have all known for some time Paul's cancer treatment story and whilst I have certainly had my run-ins with him, he is (unlike you) someone who is researched, has passion for the company and its vision, and very sadly now, is less likely to see that vision hit the stars.

yes alfred.. deliberately as we get 100% of Vanchem revenue but only 74% of Vametco... so the capacity upgrade investment went where ?

exactly @gambit .... the last posted annuals gave a NAV of £181M. Since that time we have had upgraded resource profiles, and a 50%+ increase in production capability along with much lower debt and much higher margins

I would expect the NAV to be knocking 2x that posting so 2.5x current MCAP

REVISED TIMELINES FOR THE COMMERCIAL CLOSE OF THE RENEWABLE

PROGRAMME BID WINDOW 5 (REIPPPP BW5)
The Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (the Department) has
considered and approved that Commercial Close timelines for the Twenty-Five
(25) Preferred Bidders announced under REIPPP BW 5 will be undertaken in a
phased approach with all Projects expected to sign Project Agreements by no later
than end of September 2022.
This decision was informed by the confirmed timelines from Eskom to issue the
Budget Quotes to all Preferred Bidders. The Budget Quotes are required in order
to finalize costing and commercial operation timelines, all of which is necessary to
be incorporated into the final Project Agreements and preparations for Commercial
Close.
The Department has engaged Eskom extensively on these matters and Eskom
has committed to a timetable that will enable the first batch of 14 Projects to sign
their Projects Agreements at end of July 2022, accommodating those Preferred
Bidders that will receive their Budget Quotes by the end of June 2022. The
remaining 11 Projects are expected to receive their Budget Quotes by August
2022, which will enable the signing of the balance of Project Agreements by the
end of September 2022.Background
The 5 th Bid Window under the Renewable Energy IPP Procurement Programme
(REIPPPP BW 5) was launched on 12 April 2021. The Department announced the
appointment of 25 Preferred Bidders on the 28 th October 2021. The total new
contracted capacity will be 2583 MW, of which 1608 MW will be procured from 12
Wind projects, and 975 MW from 13 Solar PV projects. These projects are
expected to attract over R50 billion in investment and will create around 14 000
new jobs during construction and operations of the renewable power plants. The
projects are expected to reach commercial operation within 24 months from
commercial close.

...the 'points' are speculation - I said 'there is no actual evidence'. But I am fairly good at adding up and given the total number of shares they had, the reduction notified, the numbers to me just dont add up.

They had overall about 5% of the share register and supposedly have been selling continuously for a year or more if the endless comments are to be believed. They dont have enough shares to keep doing this and if they genuinely wanted to sell down they cannot have been blind to encouraging rise.

The MM's set the price and play a regular pump/dump game sucking up shares from the stressed and worried

a much needed wake up call @riptonk .... we have deluded ourselves for the past 20+ years that every cheaper shipped from sundry despotic regimes is acceptable why moralising about democracy, human rights and cake.

Given the Covid economic hit, if ever there was a time to take a bit more pain and re-set it is now.

Fortunately for us, one of the commodities not replaceable and with no large scale alternatives we had (arguably) 1m+ tonnes off waiting to be dug up !
