H-hi, not sure about that, I certainly would not and have never bleated about my successes, but no one here knows my credentials and that is how I keep it.

Jambon, we have had our differences and as I stated this morning I do admire both you and snige who have kept faith with their belief. Franalex, having been subjected to some vile posts, I have endeavoured, as have one or two others to open investors eyes regarding the dangerous risks attached to taking a punt in CLLN. I very much agree with you it is unforgiveable for novice investors to have been encouraged to buy shares in Carillion. One particular individual has twisted and turned, manipulating language to bamboozle, only too persuade which suited his own personal gain. I suspect he has no conscience and does not care one jot about his fellow man. A being to be avoided and hope others will have noted for future reference.

This is a Compulsory Liquidation and NOT Voluntary, which is really Bankruptcy which has been forced on the Company. Any thoughts?

btex, sorry to say this Liquidation will leave absolutely nothing for the shareholders. Your investment is worthless, except, as mentioned earlier, any loss can be offset against gains you have made elsewhere.

Suppliers & Sub-contractors should have payment protection Insurance in place. When an Insurer announced on Friday, it was withdrawing that cover, as of now, that became almost the last nail in Carillion's coffin.

You can carry losses forward indefinitely until used.

This is because the market has opened before the High Court Application ( Compulsory Liquidation) is granted. A technical issue due to timing.

Have returned from my domestic trauma to commiserate with those LTH and those who I have battled for many months regarding the potential outcome. I admire those, snige,Jambon,cripes, to name but 3, who have been resolute in their hope of a good outcome. I feel very sad for those who invested here a while ago on income grounds. Cloudtrader and I are amongst one or 2 who endeavoured, for many months, to point out the seriousness of Carillion's unstable situation. Regret one who consistently agreed for months decided to take another tack 2 or 3 weeks ago,and openly advising, particularly novice investors, to climb aboard. This was an unforgiveable and appaling strategy which can only be explained by personal greed. To Taz and the other Employees who read these posts, I do hope and believe many of you, even though at this moment it will seem uncertain, the majority will be retained in some way or other by who ever takes over the various Contracts and Work which is ongoing.

Shockers, there are lies and damned lies, but when a member makes outrageous and blatant allegations on a Public Forum, that is a serious matter. You are right to disregard many of the posts on these bb's, it just gives some a vessel to vent their discontent or hopes. thirdman, don't forget the share went Ex-div a few days ago which accounts for most of the fall. Otherwise as you rightly observe the Company is on the right track, recent Report has shown profits to have risen more than expected and with several Events in 2018 further progress is expected especially if England proceed well in the World Cup?? IMO it is not so much MARS are not loved but more the Brewing Sector where some company's do have fundamental problems. The NAV exceeds the current SP so our investments are well supported and a Prosperous 2018 awaits us all.

People can be Chair of more than one company without hinderance. A Chairman only tends to attend on a limited number of days generally
