Cloudy.............he,gillpat posted a number of statements this afternoon. Pillorying, Jambon, Herehopin and my self in separate posts. Some were taken down, he then believed Hereshopin had done the deed and wrote an appaling post. IMO any investor who reacts in the way gillpat did has a serious problem. It now seems not only have his posts today been removed every other post has also been taken down, even his user profile has been deleted. Maybe Moderators have been observing his posts for a while? I just hope those members who have fallen for his nonsense have seen the light!

surya.....afraid the Company is bankrupt, not even enough money to pay the proposed Administrator, which would have given PI's a slim chance of something. The shares are worthless even though suspended. The only glimmer of hope for Shareholders maybe a Class action against Directors, Execs etc, if serious negligence or misdemeanors are proved. That, to be honest, is a very remote possibility and I would not depend on a good outcome. Best to move on.

JOG are pitching at the Oil Capital Conference on 1st February in London. It is basically a Networking event in front Institutional Investors and High Net Worth Investors. You need to form your own opinion, but is bound to give an update on events and,imo, proposals for the future. I may be wrong in this situation, but having attending some of these events, Company's are seeking further Funds normally.

snige you clearly did not see his vile post where he gleefully stated several members names in capitals, TAZ, SNIGE, JAMBON and so on, who in his words you LOSERS. Cloudy.......I have to agree with Jambon, the named poster, Gillpat,with whom I shared a common cause in advising/warning of the way the Carillion share price was going, for many months. I was getting stick from many quarters, but stuck by my guns. It gives me NO pleasure whatsoever, to have been proved right, I do sincerely hope that some heeded those warnings and at least reduced their loss.. In so far as Gillpat who suddenly changed tack and became an advocate to Buy Carillion Stock just before Christmas, indeed 10 days ago he was openly advising with the use of his Charts and Broker Information, to promote Investors here, some New to the Stock Market, too buy. He suggested the SP had broken out of it's low and too convince readers stated he had purchased several thousand shares. He basically created a following who appeared mesmerized by his perceived knowledge of Share Trading. Regret to say to those who do know, the rhetoric was at times flawed, his statements within a single post were contradictory. Throughout this last month, he ( Gillpat) turned his venom on several posters me in particular. On one occasion his vile language was discriminatory in the worst possible way. There are many instances of his behaviour which many, including me, believe him to be seriously unbalanced which brought into doubt the background he professed. One does wonder if he had some connection with Carillion.

snige we can agree to avoid out-sourcing Company's. It had been clear, to me, sometime ago whereas at one time Government Contracts were looked upon as having the potential for added value, where Contractors would go in with a very keen bid and then expect to achieve SI's which could and were not challenged by the Client. This then gave a Contractor a lucrative bonus. The problem came when Clients became very much more circumspect with additions claimed and in many cases were either disputed and not payed and referred to clauses within the Contract. In short Clients have become very much cleverer and Contractors have suffered. We know the result.

It should go without saying, know the Business and or Business sector. Some sectors have different cycles and some are much more volatile. The construction industry is littered with failures and the occasional Star. It remains to be seen whether or not a Shareholder Group here will hold the Directors and Execs to account. That could be a lengthy and torchous time. It would be reasonable to think, with the declared Trustee holdings, that the likes of HL would be leading the way.

snige fair enough. I still believe the level of shorters should raise concerns and an investor would be wise to look into a Company's background closely. Insofar has Morrisons, there has been a fantastic turnaround, probably because the change of CEO had a new vision which has worked. Added to which the Morrison Family were prepared to take control, which no doubt spurred Execs on from their lethargic ways. I guess the same is now true of Ocado, more because a Knight in White Armour has appeared. Don't think the same will be true of Debenham, they are in an Old Retailing Model and have not modernised.

Heres...........I saw a side of his character which too many is unbalanced. After one of his tirades I posted my view which basically said he has some kind of psychosis, a mania of self-importance and no way had he held a position involving inter-personal skills. In short he is dangerous. Oh he did not like that more because another member congratulated me for saying so, and got the post removed. Regret to say this character is capable of creating serious harm to others. Just hope the powers that be here have taken note of his behaviour.

Jambon can I just correct you, there was ONE particular individual who was rampant with glee at the loss faced by many, yesterday. There may have one or 2 others just pointing out the dangers of Share buying, but by and large just 1 individual. Even though I was negative regarding CLLN for months and took a lot of stick for my views, I certainly felt only sadness for those who have lost out here.

jester I agree it is imperative a full and thorough investigation takes place, not just the last year but I suggest the last 5 years. Any individual or group found culpable of misdoings should feel the full weight of the Law, period.

badshah, with respect just review events of the last 6 months. There has been ample opportunity to find and sell elements of the Business. The only part sold is the Health services for a token figure. The mysterious Mid East buyer disappeared as quickly as the one could say Jack Robinson. The sale of assets has been an open secret and unless it has been concealed little or no interest. As far as further funding was concerned, it seems pretty clear Banks have had enough and although it may have possible to float a Rights early last Autumn, that opportunity slowly disappeared. Other creditors were clearly having none of a D4E. The one things which did puzzle me was having stated EY were on standby to become Administrators, this last weekend, that suddenly changed in the middle of the night Sunday. We now know why...Administrators did not consider there was adequate funds to pay their fees. A very damming statement for any Company.

badshah, the warning signs were there. One only had to look at the exceptional high level of Shorts which should ring alarm bells. Shorts ( Hedge Funds ) certainly knew more than Joe Public was being told. From July when information began to emerge, just a little investigation would have revealed all was not well. The BOD were either blind or ignorant to have not been aware of the Company's financial state many months earlier. A similar situation is developing, imo, at Debenham. but as always time will tell.

buntswood you are one of many. I think of the Doncaster Pensioner who sent a letter in to Sunday Times 4 weeks ago. He was impressed with the stylish vehicles and logo running around S.Yorkshire, he purchased 1000 shares in April, basically to give himself better income ( the Div was good). At the time of his writing he stood to lose around �2000, now of course more. Too you and anyone who wishes to read, ALWAYS do your own research no matter how much you trust another source, before committing to an investment.

Yes, Tom the trouble is these "penny-shares" attract the opportunists who have the vision of great riches. It can happen but more often than not they just linger and as now die.

3putt absolutely and always my advice to any new investor. I remember the guy here back in August who ridiculed me when I stated a SP can go to Zero. He thought it could never happen and I was a joke. I'm not laughing and would not think he is either as at the last count his investment was around �70K after having averaged down. Never a wise move,imo.

In which case as EY and PwC have been involved since September, they have known for some time a recovery was very unlikely. As you say it is very, very unusual for an Administrator to refuse work as that can be meat and gravy to them.
